Taking its lead from Ephesians 5:19, this song is a prayer that believers who already enjoy the free gift of the Spirit might ‘be filled with the Spirit’ with greater power and reality. The lyrics turn some of the key biblical images for the Spirit into a personal heart-cry that we would know his work deeply in our own lives. Biblical references/allusions include Ephesians 5:19, John 7:38, Luke 3:22, Galatians 5:16-22, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Acts 2:1-4, Genesis 1:1-3, Acts 1:8.
