Duncan Grant, (1885-1978), Floral Still Life, 1956 A member of the Bloomsbury Group along with Roger Fry, John Maynard Keynes, Virginia Woolf, and Clive Bell, Grant was earlier known for anatomical studies and painted objects created for the Omega Workshops. This still life was painted at Charleston, the Sussex home he shared with Vanessa Bell, and originally exhibited at the Mayor Gallery, London, in 1958.
