Our tractor is 8ft x 10ft & fits up to around 40 chickens inside depending on if they free range during the day or stay inside full time. I've done up to 40, and as few as 13. (We use these moveable coops for egg layers AND meat birds because the roosting bars and nesting boxes are removable!) The more birds you have inside, the more you want to consider moving to fresh grass daily or even twice a day. 

Using a wheel system that is always attached to the tractor makes it so much quicker + you only need to move your tractors one place forward. 43K views · 11K reactions | When I first started keeping chickens, all my roosting bars were 2 inch wide boards. I eventually made all my roosting bars removable and also turned them over to the 4 inch wider side facing up. I have listed some benefits of using a wider roosting board in your coop: 

🐓By using a wider roosting board your chickens’ feet will stay warmer in the winter since they are able to position their warm bodies and feathers over their feet when they are in a flat footed stance. Going on 2 years recycling my old feed bags under my roosting bars at night to collect the 💩and it has drastically reduced the time spent cleaning my coop. This may not be an option for some of you if you have a large flock, but for those with a small flock it makes a huge difference in the amount of flies in and around your coop. 

🐓I just cut the bags down the center so it will cover more area and lay them under my roosting bars.
