I bought a tutorial video from @hammerlyceramics and my dad came over to help me. I think he was actually more interested in this process than me. I never intended to use slip casting as a way to make my work. Now, I’m loving everything about this process and constantly thinking about what I can make next.   What’s really interesting is that my Dad’s great-grandfather immigrated to the US from Germany in the late 1800’s. In Germany he worked in the production of porcelain goods made through slip casting. When he came to the United States he worked as a kiln builder for glass production.
