Richard Mabey is the CEO and co-founder of Juro, the intelligent contract automation platform. Under his leadership, Juro has scaled rapidly, backed by $36 million in venture funding from prominent investors including Eight Roads, USV, Point Nine Capital and Seedcamp, and the founders of companies like Indeed, Gumtree and Wise.

Richard trained and qualified at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, working as an M&A associate in London and New York. He gained an MBA from INSEAD, and then spent time at LegalZoom, learning to build legal tech products.

Frustrated by the manual legal processes that slow down businesses, Richard co-founded Juro in 2016, with a mission to help the world agree contracts faster. Beyond Juro, he hosts the "Brief Encounters" podcast, makes angel investments, and supports other ambitious ventures from the boardroom. Richard is an adviser to The Entrepreneurs Network and sits as a Non-executive Director of Bright Blue.

Melanie Lawn is a seasoned Customer Success expert and Venture Partner at Eight Roads, where she collaborates with portfolio founders and teams to deliver actionable strategies that drive their businesses toward excellence. In addition to her role at Eight Roads, Melanie also serves as the interim Customer Success Leader for Juro.

With over a decade of leadership experience, Melanie has held prominent positions such as Chief Customer Officer at companies like Peakon, which was acquired by Workday for $700m; Forecast, which raised over $30m; and Deltek. Her expertise covers all aspects of Customer Success, from building and scaling teams to managing the customer lifecycle, ensuring success in onboarding, support, upsell, and renewals.

Before transitioning into Customer Success, Melanie built a strong foundation in marketing and public relations, working with notable organisations including Dyson, Nike, The Daily Telegraph, and Freud Communications. Her diverse background has equipped her with a unique perspective, making her a trusted leader and advisor in her field.

Helena Wood is the VP of Marketing at Juro, where she leads the company’s marketing strategy and execution. Helena joined Juro in 2023.

Prior to joining Juro, Helena held significant roles in high-growth environments, including VP of Marketing at Peppy and VP of Marketing at Zencargo. Helena was one of Dext’s earliest employees, and played a crucial role in developing and executing global marketing strategies that enhanced brand presence and drove customer engagement. Helena's background also includes leadership positions at Lantum.

With a strong focus on lead generation and sales alignment, Helena leverages her extensive experience to foster collaboration across teams, ensuring that Juro not only meets but exceeds market expectations. Her passion for building effective marketing teams and campaigns reflects her commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in the SaaS landscape.

Alston Zecha a Board Director at Juro, and a venture capital partner at Eight Roads, where he’s focused on driving innovation in FinTech and enterprise software. With a unique background spanning startup founding to venture capital, Alston has hands-on experience as the co-founder and COO of payleven, a pioneering mobile payments company that merged with SumUp. At Eight Roads, he brings nearly a decade of experience and has held roles as Director, Principal, and now Partner, where he backs entrepreneurs aiming to reshape industries.

Before joining Eight Roads, Alston’s career included impactful roles at Apax Partners, Travelex, and Bain & Company, giving him a strong foundation in private equity and strategic consulting. His education from Oxford, Harvard Business School, and a Mandarin diploma from Beijing adds a global perspective to his work. Known for his passion for FinTech’s potential, Alston’s journey reflects a commitment to transformative technologies and a collaborative, supportive approach to investing.
