Kafma is a desktop Kafka client and IDE built to keep the consume–inspect–produce loop in one workspace and clone remote topics—with their schemas and optional field masking—into a local cluster for testing.
Kafma automatically decodes Avro and Protobuf, replays or forwards messages, and lets you draft, diff, and validate schemas before publishing. Use the same app to work with Standard or AWS Glue schemas, manage Kafka Connect connectors, inspect consumer lag and its history, reset offsets, and connect to self-hosted Kafka, Confluent Cloud, or Amazon MSK.
Consume, inspect, edit, and produce messages without switching views.
Decode Avro and Protobuf automatically, then replay, forward, or export what you find.
Draft a version, diff it against the live one, and check compatibility before publishing.
Clone topic configuration, schemas, and messages locally—with optional field masking.
Inspect lag and pending records, keep session history, and monitor groups in the background.
Configure Connect, edit connectors, diagnose failed tasks, and inspect offsets and sink lag.
Configure credentials and IAM permissions, manage versions, and read and write Glue records.
Start from a preset, or set partitions, retention, and cleanup policy yourself.
Kafma runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Download Kafma to get started, or see what's new in the changelog.
