Hiya Furry Friends, Chiquita here having a nice Easy Sunnyday selfie and the last night of Hannukah be tonight. Katie Mom am doing much better from last Sunnyday - turns out may have been an allergy to seasoning or sumpin in the food her ate.

We are doing flashback selfies as this selfie of me was taken on 2017 8th of April. Hanukkah today we remembers Flash who went over the Rainbow Bridge May 2017. Hanukkah 2016 was Flash's furst time to celebrate Hanukkah and him asked lots of questions...

Angel the Fetch Kitty: Is he the guy who Whacked Bees with Hammers?

Katie Too: No! Judah Maccabee saved the Jewish People from the mean King Antiochus Eppiphaneez...who wanted to sacrifice a pig at the temple.  Judah Maccabee and hims brothers fought the Greeks and made them go home. Then they rededicated the temple and found oil for one day to light the menorah, but it lasted 8 days!Judah was called The Hammer, that's what Maccabee means.

Angel: but Joey said he whacked bees.

Lulu: Yep that's what Joey said.
Joey the Nike Cat Hero, Flash's half brother: Oh, I thought his name was Judah Whackabee.

Flash: What are Matzah Balls?
Katie Too: That's like a dumpling made of flour and cooked in chickens. Bear likes chickens.

Lil Bear: but Joey said they were bouncy balls that didn't bounce.
Katie Mom: Depends on how hard the dumplings are... On to the third verse. 


 On the Third Day of Hanukkah my True Love gave to me, Three Sufganyot, Two Matzah balls and a picture of Judah Maccabee!

Bootsie rolled around on the floor and lost her kippah again: Dats yummies fur humans with jam and stuffs.  Dey eats dats in Israel at Hanukkah.

 Lil Bear: But Joey said sufganyot was soup to go with chickens in it for the bouncy balls that don't bounce.
Katie Too: Joey!!
Joey: Sounded better than jelly. Unless am catnip jam...

On the fourth day of Hanukkah, My True Love gave to me... four potato latkes, three sufganyot, two matzah balls and A Picture of Judah Maccabee!!

Flash: Okay, what are potato latkes?

Lulu:  Joey said they were potato latch keys made to open the door to the cat food closet.
Joey: or to the tzedakah box - the giving box fur donations and stuffs.

Flash: ummm... what are gelt? (wondering what Joey has to say this time)
Joey: oh that's just money made of chocolate... we can't eat those.  Now if someone would make them out of cheese...

On the Sixth Day of Hanukkah my True Love Sent to me... Six dreidels spinning, FIVE GOLDEN GELT, four potato latkes, three sufganyot, two matzah balls... and a Picture of Judah Maccabee!

(Now Flash had Joey's attention. He sat up excitedly)

Joey: Yes they are lots of funs... They are spinning tops and when humans spin them, you can chase them til they fall over. Dreidels in America have the Hebrew letters Nun Gimmel Hay and Shin which stands for Nes Gadol Haya Sham. (typo fixed), that means A Miracle Happened There. In Israel the Dreidels have a Pay letter instead of Shin for  Nes Gadol Haya Po, A Miracle Happened Here.

Flash: Where did Dreidels come from?

Mew Updates Jeremiah Opurrashun and Road Trip

We are furry thankful fur all our friends... at Christmas and Hanukkah.

Hello, dis am Bootsie and Today Me help with the blogging by sitting in Mom's lap and purring my wittle heart out. I loves my Katie Mom. I am ten years old and my Gotcha day was in Novembur 2007 when I was just 3 months old Bootsie's Furry Furst Foto

We haz been furry behinds in visiting all our friends and it shows in our comments dats hardly anybuddy's come by... we are furry sads about that.  We hopes to gets more visiting done on Friday night dats when Mom likes to rest from a long week of working to raise moneys for us kitties and our Mommies.

Howsumebbers we haz mewz to share. Although Silvia's Guero am doing better, Ronnie still had upset tummy again yesterday.  Still throwing up yesfurday - early this morning though he finally had a good poo in the litter box and nuffin runny. We will finds out today if he is keeping his food down. He may need xrays to check his tummy - no diarrhea am a good sign though. we will lets you know if Ronnies needs to go backs to the vet... plz keeps him in your purrz.



And Jeremiah Midnight, aka JayMee am going to a wonderful friend in Manhattan, Kansas in the morning - First him will be getting his gentlemen opurrayshun and then our dear friend will help him find his furever home, hopefully in time fur Christmas!

Mom am furry nervous about leaving him, yet we trust our friend who am furry goods at playing kitty matchmaker and finding the bestest home! She gets to take them to Petco where kitties can visit with potential families. And the Mew family will get a fact sheet about JayMee and our phone number to ask any questions. I sure hope they send us mew photos too!

We would likes your purrz and prayers fur JayMee on hims journey to loves to finds hims forever family.

We are so thankful that money came in to help Guero and Ronnie to see the vet Tuesday too. We will still need to pay the motel owner and to raise funds for Silvia and her kitties to find a real place to rent. In our town, if you lives in a motel food banks won't give you any food! Even if you have lived in the motel for many years and can verify that.  All folks needs to eats! How come can't figure out by name if a pawson has gotten foods and not address where they am staying?  Please if you cans, we haz a you caring fur Silvia and her kitties to pay the motel owner so she can move to a real home.  https://www.youcaring.com/katiezfurrymewz-1040579 


Well Kansas has some furry bad rules, likes you can TNR feral kitties but if you get caught feeding them, you go to jail... Dats am so messed up. An elderly couple in another town went to jail even though all their kitties were fixed and the kitties were trapped and put to sleep - so very sad and wrong... so wrong.  


Anyways, our other kitty, Betty Lou who needs a furever home may go up with JayMee to finds her furevers - will let you know.

Today I just had ta roll around onda floors on everyting and tells evfurrybody!

I am about 9 years old now. Here I am at Cat Hospital having my teeth checked a year ago September 2016. I had losted a tooth from a resorptive lesion. I really needed dental surgery to remove a tooth, but no moneys ever came in fur dat. (Bootsie at the vets) I am eating reel good now though Mom am going to gets me a checkup on my teefs.

My furry furstid post was how I was saved from a salvage yard. I not haz good English then. I was only three months old. Bootsie Woo's Story

Rescued Kitty Spay Day

Molly and Chiquita

Took Chiquita in to get spayed this morning... and all her shots. Thanks to kind souls who donated for her care. She is beautiful and about 7 months old.

Purring fur her safe and healthy surgery. Silvia and I will be worrying until she is ready to be picked up.

She will stay at the Big Kennel Motel after Katie Mom picks her up... she becomes passive and cries when frightened and doesn't slash out and hiss like Mama Molly.

No ear tip fur this girl - already have an offer to be a store kitty... plan B if no forever Mommy found.

 

Her Mom Molly misses her very much... She would not eat last night, kept calling for her baby. Whenever Chiquita would try to be friends with Silvia, Molly would hiss and slap Silvia - she knows Silvia has been taking her babies to the mysterious Indoor World. 

Still praying that both girls can go to same place since they are bonded.  Yet Molly is very hard to trap.  Another challenge is Molly does not like being touched, although she has been coming to Silvia to eat for over six years. For Molly's sake to find a place for both mother and daughter together - Molly would be alone if we just trap spay and return her.  Molly has always wanted a companion to be with - keep one of kittens for companionship - boy or girl kitty. Last one we rescued was Danny, a boy (see post)- and as soon as we caught him, she went searching for a mate and that's where we think Chiquita came from.  Don't know how many kittens Molly has at one time or what what happens to them. She is small and may only have one or two at a time. She keeps one to raise... Silvia never sees her give birth, just a kitten that follows her to eat.

Chiquita allows hands near and some touching by Silvia. Chiquita started connecting to me last week, meeting my eye contact.  She let me touch her through the trap... I don't know how rough these handlers are at KHS when getting them ready for anesthesia and this trap is really large compared to a small six pound girl. Chiquita wants to connect to good people - her disposition and choice. She was very afraid and cried alot, yet did not retaliate.  She doesn't have the disposition to be safe in the outdoor world like her Mama.

We are joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop! Thankful that Chiquita is finally caught and getting spayed - on her way to learning more about good people in the Indoor World, and so thankful that her spay and shots cost the TNR price and donations came in to cover her spay.

Guero at Vets and Hanukkah Song Fur Mew Years Eve

Yesfurday, Guero went to the vets early in the morning 
Him needed to gets antibiotic and a shot fur pain.  Last time he went to the vets they only gave him half a dose of evfurryting insted of full doses... that might be why him had to come backs so soon.

Guero sang the song of Hims People at the vets.

Guero gets UTI's easily cause him no has boy parts no mores... Guero am so goods and only wants loves.

When Guero gotted home, him went sleepy and started feeling betters.  Vet bill was 75.00.

After taking Auntie Silvia and Guero to vets, Katie Mom and Uncle Mike wents to picks up metals and met this doggie named Chloe.  Chloe's daddy gaved an old rusted bench and an air conditioner frame... then off to picks up an exercise bike! And then Auntie Katie tooks an old metal shelf outta da garage old metal cabinet outta basement. Uncle Mikes puts in car parts into da trucks and then off to the recyclers... 360 pounds and about 20.00 - dats was goods and helped pay part of Guero's vet bill.

Todays, Uncle Mike and Auntie Katie gonna picks up more metals and Uncle Mike am going to works on Auntie Silvia's car... Dat's all fur now on Mew Year's Eve. We talks again tomorrows...  Purrz from Katie Kitty Too.
