Kinley and the Three Hundred (Almost) Dollar Fart

 

Ok, so it wuz actually a two hundred and seventy four dollars and sixty four cent fart, but three hundred has a better ring to it . . .

It all started last nite. Yesterday I had had my bath and done my normal crazy run around da apartment thing. Which I always follow up wif a nice long nap. Well, I wuz nappin and momma wuz watchin da latest episode of America's Got Treason when I let out a loud yelp. She didn't really think anything of it - she just thought I had a bad dream. Well, later, she went to feed me and I didn't wanna move. Which if ya know ME - not moving when dinner are served are NOT ME. I wuz curled up in a ball and seemed like I wuz in pain. I could barely stand and I wouldn't eat my food or drink anything when momma put me down in front of it. She wondered if I had torn a muscle or thrown out my back or somefin during my post-bath crazies. But it wuz late and she thought I might feel better in da morning. Well pals, I didn't. I wuz still not wanting to walk or eat or drink and all I want to do wuz curl in a ball and cuddle momma. So I got to go meet da new vet Travis wuz meowin about - dey managed to squeeze me in wif a drop-off appointment. Well, da vet noticed my tummy felt funny and did x-rays. And I wuz full of gas. Yup, I wuz a gassy lassy. They kept me for a while after giving me some barium to make shure there wuzn't an obstrukshun and did more x-rays . . . well, it really wuz just gas. Momma says I shoulda just farted and then she woulda saved three hundred dollars. Hey momma, it ackshually wuz two hundred and seventy four dollars and sixty four cents . . .

Flower Friday

Well, first up are an update on Travis. We got his test results back today - his poop, pee, and bloodwork are all normal. Da only elevated thing wuz a kinda white blood cells dat can just be elevated from gut inflammation which he obviously has. Speshully since he had da runs again dis morning. Poor lil guy, he are not wanting to eat today. So we are tryin a corticosteroid shot to knock down da gut inflammation. Hoping it works - then I can get back to playin wif him! 

For now I are stuck wif just momma to play wif. Anyways. today I are showing ya some flowers from Plano - dey are more interesting dan a repeat of last week's Lubbock flowers since nuffin new are blooming here.

And yeah, here are even more, but we are just gonna stop wif five. Gotta leave ya wanting more, ya know?

Happy Chinese New Year!

 

Happy Chinese New Year pals!

Da mommas are cookin up some Chinese tangerine beef to celebrate da Year of da Ox and it smells delishus!

In udder news, it looks like me and Brinley might finally get to see some real snow.

A blizzard and historical cold temperatures are predicted. Right now da low on Monday are sposed to be -2 which momma says are as cold as it got when she and Angel Whitley lived in Boston.

I'm thinking our walks are probably gonna be cancelled for a few days.

Guess I'll just hafta look cute for all my pals on da internets.

We all seem a lil extra energized by da cold, even Finley. But she is definitely happy when she comes back inside!  

In udder news, today I got my firstest ever dental cleaning. It wuz all rooteen and I wuz back to being my crazypants self right when I got home. Only now I has a sparkling white smile! But I did like that early dinner last night, too bad that can't be a regular thing . . . 

Travis' Surgery

 

Hey pals. Well, my kitty brofur had to have surgery today - he had bladder stones that kept making him get blocked. He made it through da surgery and momma thinks she are gonna get to take him home tomorrow.  

We can't wait to have our kitty home.

It has been a weird week here.

Da mommas has been super stressed about Travis and it has been tuff. It's just been a real downer of a week.

So I thought I'd try to cheer everyone up by showing off my new martini dress.

We'll take two barktinis - shaken or stirred! 

These dresses will be pawfect for when da new Bond movie comes out in 2029.

We wore the black side pre-grooming and the red side post-grooming.

Bad News

 

I has bad news pals - my kitty brofur Travis are back at da emergency vet again. He has reblocked.

He are dat da emergency vet. They unblocked him, but his bloodwork wuz not good - his glucose wuz high and his kidney values were off. And we don't know why he reblocked. Da mommas has been giving him da urinary food and even putting extra liquid in it to make shure he wuz drinking. Our regular vet seemed to think he needed an ultrasound - she are worried he might have bladder cancer or something that are causing this. And both da emergency vet and our regular vet menshuned a perineal urethrostomy. Which momma are callin da Caitlyn Jenner speshul, but don't worry, Travis are not gonna be changin his name to Caitlyn. 

Tonite da mommas went to see Travis at da emergency vet - dey actually let em in which wuz nice. But dat makes momma worried too - she hopes they were just being nice and letting em in and not letting em becuz Travis are that sick.   

But for tonite Travis are ok. He are resting at da emergency vet. We all just want him home and feeling better. I miss my kitty.
