Fiesta Pooch Parade

So for da last week and a half, my momma has been busy doing Fiesta stuff.

But dis morning wuz da bestest Fiesta event of all - da Pooch Parade!

Last year I went wif my BFF Brinley. She couldn't come dis year, so it wuz just me and momma and her boyfriend - we had fun though. I got lotsa pets and treats!

Hey pals!!

Well, today wuz da Fiesta Pooch Parade.

Me and Brinley had to discuss which dresses we were gonna wear yesterday.

After some in-tents debaterinatin, we decided on dis one.

I mean, we gotta look our best.

There wuz so many pups there! At first I wuz a lil freaked and I tucked my tail between my legs - did my momma bring me to some kinda doggie gang bang? But den I relaxed when I realized all da other pups wuz chill and wuz able to just have fun.

Some pups even had floats!

But me and Brinley just walked since we luv a good walk.

Plus, walkin meant we could sniff and meet some new pals!

But since we's besties, we did stick together for da whole walk through Alamo Heights.

There wuz even refreshments along da way, but me and Brinley wuz more interested in getting pets.

We had a really fun time!

At da end of da parade, we met up wif a LONG time pup pal - Miss Lulu!

We had to give her some luvin!

And we got to meet her pup, Barkley!

He wuz a real sweetie!

We had a ton of fun!

Hey pals! It are Fiesta time in San Antonio!

Which basically means da whole city has a big week and a half party just in honor of MY birthday next week. Isn't that nice of em??

There's even a parade I get to be in next week. 

Now momma, since this whole citywide party are just in honor of ME, I really should get some of those Fiesta snacks. Pass da chicken on a stick and some tacos please!

Sunday Selfies

Hey pals! It's Sunday, so it's selfie time. 

And bestest news of all - it finally stopped raining!

No more wet grass!

And we finally got to go on walks again.

And do our nayborhood patrols to keep da mommas safe from bobcats, coyotes, zombies, well, you name it!

And we got to wear our Fiesta duds. Brinley's momma finished Brinley's fiesta dress, so now we can match!

Ya know da saying, fiesta till ya siesta.

One Day at a Time

Hey pals!  Furst I wanted to say a big FANK YOU for all da POTP and good thoughts.  Y'all are pawsome!  I are pretty much da same today - not any better, but not any worse.  I's still havin isshoes wif my front leg and are havin to be held up like a marionette.  

Right now we is takin it one day at a time.  I are not really shure what dat means, or how ya could take it a half a day at a time or three days at a time anyways, but whatefurs.  Anyways, today wuz da Fiesta Pooch Parade.  I got to go be in it four years ago - it wuz a pawsome time and I got to meet two of my Dogster pals, Ebby and Ceeley (dey are both at da Rainbow Bridge now).  I couldn't go dis year - momma had been thinkin bout goin until I took a turn for da worstest.  But dis morning, my momma and me saw dis on da Book of Faces - my friend Pugsley (he are Ebby and Ceeley brofur) dis.

Him and his momma are just da bestest, it made my momma tear up a lil.  Anyways, I wuz there in spirit since I wuz wearin my Fiesta dress, even if me and momma are a few hours too far north.

Lastest night, I got to watch my most favorite movie, Oklahoma, wif my momma.  She didnt even say nuffin tacky bout my native state!  Den today started out wif a nice nap - momma does her exorcisin in da mornin and it are sooper boring.  Finley's daddy sat wif me for a lil bit and gave me some eggstra pets, dat wuz nice.

I had a speshul brekkyfast today, fried eggie weggies and some Frenchy bread.  Oh la la!  Eggie weggies are my favorite and I usually don't get em cuz Finley are allyergick.  But momma says from now on I are gettin eggie veggies whenefur da peeps eat em.  Yay!!  Don't feel bad for Finley, she got more of da Frenchy toast, so she were not bein deprived or nuffin.  Depraved maybe, but dat are par for da course round here.

Den we went on our walkie.  I has gotten smart and are usin da edge of my Whitley Wagon™ to rest my head - it are easier dan havin to hold my head up myself.  No Yorkies to bark at today.

Den it wuz outside to hang out by da pool wif da mommas and Finley.  We are havin pawsome weather dis weekend - it are sunny and in da 80s - such a nice change from all da rains.

And best of all, it wuz openin day of POOL SEASON!  I got to get on da S.S. Whitley and I wuz so happy - coolin down in da water felt pawsome!

After dat, I dried off in da sun and took anudder nap.  Tonite I got some more nillas and some quality time wif my momma and Finley's momma and I's gonna get a chikken dinner too.  YUM!!!
