Sunday Selfies

So as ya mighta guessed by my curly furs, we had some rain today. So no bike ride for me.

At least it stopped raining this afternoon and we got a walk in.

Finley's hip is still improving. Today she wanted to chase her daddy down the street because he left for his walk without petting her! 

Quarantine Fun!

Hi pals! Well, we had another fun day in quarantine. Well, at least it wuz fun for us dogs. I got to go on a bike ride today!

And we got some bacon at breakfast and we got to go on a walk.

Finley's hip are still getting better. She wuz a lil restless today. Momma says she guesses she don't like being cooped up either (dis quarantine stuff are driving her crazy!) Finley is standing and walking better all the time. She is still getting some help with the sling to walk, but it is mostly there as a back-up in case she needs it. We're so glad she's getting better. Even if she are tired of the play pen. 

We still haven't really figgered out social distancing, but since we live together, it are ok. Aroooo!

Terrierific Tuesday

Furst up, some good news!  

All da kitties are over their kitty cold.

Which means I can play wif em again! I tried to play EXTRA today to make up for all da playtime dey had to miss out on, but momma said I needed to give em a rest and just play wif my tennis balls a while. Moms are NO fun. 

Finley's hip are still doing good. It's still in place and she's trying to go all over da place. Which da mommas won't let her do, so she has to spend a lotta time in da play pen or in someone's lap.

We didn't get any backyard time today since it wuz cloudy and in da 50s. What da woof weather?? Dis are Texas, it's sposed to be at least 80. 

At least it wuz dry, so me and Brinley got our walk.

Finley got an extra treat instead.

Momma won a contest on da book of faces, so me and Brinley got to be featured in da very talented artist and westie breeder Deborah Colvin Borgo's art every day today. We LUV it!   

Good Friday!

Hey pals! Happy Good Friday and happy Passover to everyone who celebrates. And happy day 56794 of Quarantine to everyone else!

Ok, furst up is da obligatory health update. Hope we don't sound like old people talking bout health problems all da time! BOL!

Finley's hip is still in place. She's been really enjoying her homecooked meals, so that are what she are getting to eat now. And we're getting some too - YUM! She has to either hang out in the play pen or in someone's lap since she is not supposed to be walking around and we hafta be VERY careful about her hip. We would luv to sniff her better, but we only get a few sniffs in a day. At least she are doing good.   

And now for da kitties - Angelique seems a lot better - she's only got a few sneezes. Bowie and Travis are both voluntarily eating now, but they're still sneezy and obviously congested. Some of our pals have wondered if maybe they've got COVID. Truth are, we don't know and never will. They don't have the dry cough of COVID. They seem congested instead. And none of da humans here have had COVID (that we know of anyways). They're all inside-only kitties, so how they got sick are kind of a mystery. We just hafta hope they keep getting better.

And now for da BAD news. Me and Brinley had to have BAFFS last nite. What da woof?? Da world are coming to an end (or somefin), Finley's recovering from a hip being popped back in, da kitties are sick, my momma's natural hair color are starting to show and we hafta have BAFFS??

Finley got outta da baff thing cuz of her hip. LUCKY.

Happy Birthday Travis!

Well, today are my kitty brofur Travis' birthday. Sucks dat he and Bowie are still sick. But I think he liked his catnip toys. And I know he liked his bacon he got this morinng!

And I definitely liked it!

Finley's still improving - her leg infection are getting better and her hip are still in place. She's kinda stuck in da play pen or in one of da momma's laps since she are not allowed to walk too much for a while. We wanna sniff her, it are hard to be told no all da time. Guess we're about as good at social distancing as da mommas. 

I hope we get somefin tasty tonite for Travis' birthday. He's getting chikken guts - I think we deserve somefin good too!

Finley's Home!

Hi pals! Well, we today are better dan yesterday. Cuz Finley are home!

She got transferred over to da orthopedic vet this morning. And they did x-rays and GOOD news - her hip are still in place! She can't wear the sling because we can't have her getting another infection, so da mommas are gonna hafta be real careful and hope she doesn't slip it out. So, no walking for her - she's being carried everywhere and da mommas are using a scarf to sling her up so she can do her bizness. Unfortunately my momma are way too experienced wif dat since it wuz how she had to help my predecessor Whitley. Finley's bacterial infection on her leg/foot are also clearing up - she got meds for that too. And she's really acting like nuffin are wrong, she even tried to scruff da grass today wif her front paws. And she's wuz givin my momma TONS of kisses earlier.

Da kitties are all still sick. Travis wuz pretty much nonstop sneezing last nite and today. Poor guy. I want him to feel better. Bowie's a lil better today, but still sneezy. Angelique's probably da best off right now, but she wuz da furst kitty to get sneezy, so she may be getting over it.

All da kitties are on antibiotics and they are eating ok. We just hafta wait for dis kitty cold to pass.

Finley Update

Finley went in for her hip procedure today. 

And good news - it went well! The doctor said her hip went back into its joint easily. She's now monopolizing da mommas.

Seriously, she's been in my momma's lap for over three hours! And I'm not allowed to jump on her. What da woof?? I just wanna sniff her up, but momma says I gotta socially distance myself from her. I says momma are watching too much news!!

Her leg are all bandaged up now.

And she has to wear da Cone of Shame™ but since she are used to a cone (she has to wear one when her allergies are bad) dat are no big deal. 

We think da orthopedic vet's office luved her. They said she was so sweet and gave her a sparkly pink bandage for her IV.

She's spent most of da day sleeping. Da mommas are gonna be busy keeping an eye on her to make shure she doesn't pop her hip again.

Finley Needs POTP!

Hey pals. Well, we has some bad news. Finley's bent outta shape.

Sometimes she gets her nose outta joint, speshully when she are dealin wif me. But dis time it are not her nose, it are her hip.

We don't really know how it happened. We'd seen her walking around fine (well, as good as an almost 14 year old arthritic dog walks), and she had gone to sleep in a crate. When her momma got her out to take her out, she couldn't walk or put weight on her left rear leg. And it was dangling funny. She wuz clearly in pain, so she went to da vet today. Dey did some x-rays, and she has a dislocated hip. She got some pain meds and anti-inflammatories and is resting now. 

She's going to the orthopedic vet tomorrow morning to get it popped back into place. She's not a candidate for surgery. She's almost 14 and has got her skin allergies, a heart condition, arthritis, dementia . . . maybe she could be a presidential candidate but not a surgical one. So we are really hopin this works. 

Good thoughts, POTP, prayers, voodoo incantations, human sacrifices are all appresheated.

We need her to pull through this - I'm not ready to be da senior pup!
