Ok, so for 11 facts bout me:

1.  I luvs da water.  Seriously.

2. I has invented my own game to play in da water.  It are called pool ball.  I floats round on my pool float (da S.S. Whitley) and bark until my momma throws a plastic play ball for me.  Den I bounce it off my nose.  Pool ball are my favorite game in da whole world.  Fetch are fun and all, tug are not really my game, but I luvs me some pool ball.

3.  I's bicoastal, I's lived on both coasts.  Now I lives near Dallas, which do not have a coast, but at least I has a pool.
4.  I has back wrinkles.  I don't know any udder westies dat does.  My vet are kinda fascinated wif em, he says he has no clue why I has em, but he has seen a few udder pups get em and dey don't mean nuffin bad.
5.  I has killed skwerrils (while on leash), rats, and a mousie.  So varmints, stay away from me!
6.  I live wif my BFF Finley and three kitties - Travis, Crockett, and Angelique.
7.  I has a more extensive wardrobe dan most people does.  Yeah, I's a spoiled princess and proud of it.
8.  I has a middle name.  It are Michelle.  Like da Beatles song.

9. I are Head of Security round these parts and make sure to bark a lot to let everyone know it.
10.  I patrol for zombies on pretty much a daily basis.
11.  I has lived in more states dan my momma (cuz I wuz born in Oklahoma).

1. What keeps your dog most entertained?  Well, I don't has a dog (BFF Finley are my BFF, not my posseshun) but I'll answer like you're askin bout me.  Stuffies work well to keep me entertained, so does Texas Toothpicks.  And playin in da pool of course.  Or da movie Oklahoma!
2.  Does your dog like grooming?  I'm ok wif da baff and da brushin, but I hate da strippin part.  Not as much as nail trimmin, dat are da worstest.
3.  Would your rather go for a morning walk or evening?  I'd rather sit and not move, but momma has me go on morning walks.  It are cooler in da morning dan da evening and stayin cool are important here.
4.  What is the most embarrassing thing your dog has ever done?  Probably when I peed on da hotel bed in Kingman, Arizona.  Hey, at dat point I wuz only used to peein on suburban lawns and didn't wanna pee in da desert dirt.  I figured da bed looked better. BOL BOL!
5.  Do you compete in any activities wif your dog and if not would you?  I don't do nuffin competitive, I mean, I beats Finn hands down in pool ball and barkin.  Momma always thought I'd be a good Earth Dog though since I's very prey-focused.
6.  Does your dog like water/swimming?  I think we all know da answer to dat one are YES.
7.  Has your dog ever won any prizes?  I's won some giveaways, but not prizes.
8.  Why did you name your dog what you did?  Momma wuz plannin on namin me Whitney (she liked da way it sounded - Whitney da Westie.)  Den she saw da name Whitley in a baby name book - it means from the white meadow and are Gaelic (and I's a Scottish pup).  And since her name are Kimberley, she liked dat it ended wif a -ley too, so she went wif Whitley.
9.  What do you like most about blogging?  Meetin new pals.
10.  What is your favourite flavor of ice cream?  I likes butter pecan a lot, momma are a big fan of Mocha Heath Bar Crunch and Mocha Almond Fudge.  But ice cream are kind of a sore subject round here, we is all missin our Bluebell real bad.

Hi pals!  My pals Bentley and Pierre over at Barking from the Bayou gave me a Liebster Award!  If ya don't know dem, ya should go check em out.  Pierre are a westie like me and Bentley are a basset.  And ya should know I luvs bassets, my family used to have basset pupses.  When I wuz a lil puppy, dey had three - Sam, Delilah, and Hank.  So a basset and westie together - well dat are just bout perfect!

1.  More and more establishments are starting to become pet-friendly.  What are you thoughts on this policy?
Bout time!  I should be able to go anywheres I wants, I's a lot cleaner dan a kid in a dirty diaper and dey let dem in everywheres.  I wouldn't scream in a restaurant, I knows to behave when food are involved.
2.  Have you ever taken your dog to a dog-friendly winery/bar/restaurant or attraction?  If so, what was your favorite place and why?
Well, I don't gots a dog, unless you are countin Finley and she'd probably bite me if I acted like I owned her.  But me and Finn has been to eat at EZ's in Austin and San Antonio - dey let dogs sit on da patio and it are pretty pawsome.  Da best part are da gettin slipped chikken and pizza bones.  And we's been in some stores, speshully when I lived in Cambridge, da peeps would let us come on in.  We went to Lush, which smelled really interesting and to a knittin store.  Ya know, mommas and da yarn.  Yawn.
3.  Does your dog sleep in the bed with you?
I let momma sleep in da big bed wif me.  Sometimes Travis too.  I has my spot at da end of da bed.  My momma has delushuns dat I are a stuffie and should be hugged at night, but I likes da foot of da bed.  Unless it are cold or I are feelin bad.  Den I wants to snuggle.
4.  Does your dog participate in any organized activity, competition, or sport?
Unless lying down on Zombie Patrol™ counts, den no.
5.  How do you feel about snow?
I used to like it, but now dat I are older, I are over it.  Bring on summer!
6.  Do you free-feed or do you have set meal times?
I get breakfast and dinner, both at round 10 or 11 (AM and PM).
7.  Have you used a professional groomer?
Nope, all my groomin are done by momma.  She has da teeth marks to show for it, BOL.

Nilla wafers.
9.  How many dogs do you have and have you ever thought or adding another to the pack?
It are just me and BFF Finley.  I are my momma's and Finley are my momma's parents.  We lives together now.  Momma gets Puppy Fever™ sometimes, so I try to limit her exposhure to puppy pics so she don't get no dumb ideas.
10.  What is your favorite game to play with your dog?
My favorite game to play are Pool Ball, which involves me floatin on da pool float while momma throws play balls for me to bounce off my nose.  I swims round and stuff too.
11.  What type of training do you use with your dog?
Training?  I are a terrierist, BOL BOL!  I does da trainin round here.

Well, I's already done part one, so now I are on to da questions . . .

1.  What's the naughtiest thing you've ever done?
Well, I did da normal naughty puppy stuff, chewin shoes up and all dat.  And NotMe tends to visit me when it are icy outside.  But da naughtiest thing I did were in Kingman, Arizona.  Me and momma were on our way back to UCLA and we stopped dere.  I don't know if any of y'all have ever been to Kingman, but dere were no grass to pee on.  And I were used to suburban manicured lawns to pee on.  So we wuz at da hotel and momma were tryin to get me to pee out on da dirt and I refused.  So dey took me to da hotel room figurin dat dey could unload den try takin me somewhere else.  Well, I hopped right up on da bed and peed.  BOL BOL!  Da mommas rinsed off da cover (it didn't soak though) and dey did not sleep in dat bed, hee hee!

2.  Have you ever done anything heroic, and what was it?
Everyday I protect against zombiez and I barks dem away, which are pretty heroic.  And I are da Head of Security, which are a pretty fankless job since ya gets in trouble for barkin everyone.  But it are heroic to keep goin in da face of bein told to shut up all da time.

3.  Who do you look up to?
My hero are Hank da Cowdog, he are also Head of Security and a Texan like me. He has written a bazillion books or somefin, if ya haven't read em, your humans should get dem for ya.

4.  If you could be a different animal what would it be and why?
I'd be a seal.  Becuz seals like to swim and like to bark.  I wouldn't have to give up barkin dat way, BOL BOL!

5.  What's the most annoying thing your human does that you wish they didn't?
My human are pretty good, but she makes me stay on leash all da time, which stinks since I wanna start fights and kill skwerrilz and it are hard to do dat on leash.  Even if I has killed 2 skwerrils while on leash.  And she don't let me sniff pee mail, she makes me keep walkin.  And she tells me to shut up, but I ignore her.  And she strips me.  Wait a minute, maybe she ain't da good.

6.  Have you got a favourite toy?
I luvs stuffies best of all, and I specially luv hippo stuffies.  Momma do not really know why, but I has got a speshul place in my heart for hippos.  Maybe it are watchin too much Fantasia wif momma.  I like da hedgies too.

7.  Do you like your name?  Does it suit you?
I likes my name.  It means from da white meadow, and since I are white, I fink it fits.  And my momma's name are Kimberley, so our names kinda go together, Whitley and Kimberley.

8.  What do you do that always gets your parents laughing?
Dey laff when I bark so hard dat my front paws pop off the ground.  I are dat enthusiastic!  And momma laffs when I "anger poop."  Dat are when I are mad bout seein another dog and I bark dem den I poop.  And I lick da air and huff it when we get near Plano, I just luv da smell of Plano.  Da humans like dat one.

9.  Do you like dressing up and wearing clothes?
Uh, I fink we all know dat da answer here are yes!  I luvs clothes, I has dresses, t-shirts, bandanas, coats, sweaters, jackets, even snowboots and a raincoat and pajamas!  I luvs wearin clothes and get extra sassy when I wear dem.

10.  Who lets you get away with more… Mummy/Daddy/Other?
It are Allison, momma's sister.  She calls me "Whitty Whitty Woo Woo" and instead of tellin me to "shut da #$% up!" she says "hush, sweet Whitley."  It do not work, BOL BOL!

More Liebster Questions!

So my cutie patootie schnauzer pal Fizzy nominated me for a Liebster Award.  Since I's already asked some questions and tagged pals recently, I are just gonna answer Fizzy's questions, ok?

1.  How did you get to be at your forever home?  My momma wanted a westie pup real bad.  Accidentally, she did not get her driver's permit in time for her to get her license (Texas makes you have da permit for 6 months before you get da license and Finley's momma and my momma was confuserated bout it.)  She didn't get her permit until da ends of June, which meant she couldn't get her license until da ends of December.  And her birfday are at da end of November.  Since she didn't have a license, she didn't want a car for her sixteenth birfday and wanted a puppy instead (she got da car for Chrissymas).  She'd liked westies for a while and Finley's momma found me in ad in da newspaper.  She drover up to Gainsville and met da breeder who had pupses.  She were a Cherokee lady from Oklahoma.  Momma wanted a girl puppy, so Finley's momma looked at da girls.  I already had my ears up and were da friendliest, so she picked me and drove me home to Plano.  My momma got outta school early dat day (she were "sick" - sick of high school) to meet me.  She were so happy!  She says I's da best present she ever got.

2.  Who named you and why did they pick that name?  My momma named me.  She wanted a name dat started with a W so it went wif westie.  She were planning on namin me Whitney until she saw da name Whitley in a baby book.  It means "white meadow."  My momma's name are Kimberley, which means "from da royal fortress meadow," so my momma liked how Whitley sounded like her name and also had da white meadow meaning.  My middle name are Michelle, after da Beatles song.

3.  Do you like cheese?  I luvs cheese - cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, monterrey jacks, you names it and I luvs it!

4.  What's your favorite human food?  MEATZ.  I luvs em all.  Chicken, steak, bacon, ya names it!  

5.  How do let your pawrents know you have to go out and potty?  I barks at em.  Da problem are, I barks at em for all kindsa other reasons, so mostly my momma just tries to take me out at regular times.  I also goes over by da front door and bark - dat let's em know I need to go out.

6.  Do you sleep in your people's beds?  I sleep in da lower right corner of my momma's bed.  She tries real hard to get me to sleep up next to her and snuggle, but dat corner are my spot and it are nearest da door so I can do a good job guardin her from zombiez.

7.  Are you a snuggly pal, or would you rather get pets from far away?  I know I just said I don't like da night snuggles, but other than that I like snugglin.  I like sitting in laps and gettin pets.  I also like sitting right next to my momma in a chair - I just wedge myself right in, I guess I's lucky her booty are not too big for dat.

8.  Do you like to give kisses?  Yeah, I luvs kisses.  I specially like kissing Ally, momma's sister.  I'll just lick her up like crazy.  I like to give momma and Finley's momma and daddy kissies too.

9.  What's the one thing you did that scared the poop out of your people?  Well, besides me and Finley's fights, when I were a tiny puppy I jumped in da pool repeatedly.  Da first time, momma thought maybe Hank accidentally knocked me in da pool because he had a big ol waggin basset tail.  But den momma saw me take a runnin leap and land in da pool.  And dis were in November and it were COLD and I were teeny!!  So dat were pretty scary for da peoples and I only got to go out in a backyard on leash for da rest of dat winter.  Oh, and da time dat scary woman tried to steal me at UCLA, but I didn't really do dat one, it just happened to me.

10.  Who do you bark the most at?  Who don't I bark at?  BOL BOL!  Uh, probably Finley cuz I lives wif her and bark her when she are scratchin or has a toy in her mouth or are sittin on a person's lap - basically all da time.

See how Grumpy has new wrinkles?  Dat are my wrinkly back - I has lotsa wrinkles.  My newest nickname are Ruffles - cuz Ruffles has ridges, get's it?  Yeah yeah, my momma are SO funny.

More Liebster Questions

So, I's got nominated for da Liebster Award dis time by my pals Rudy and Izzy.  If ya don'ts know dem, dey are a couple cutie pie Schnauzers from Canookistan or somewhere like dat where it are really freezy cold.  Even colder dan dat Bawston place where I lived for a whiles.  Anyways, since I already tagged some of my palses for dis here MAJOR AWARD, I's just gonna answer Rudy and Izzy's questions.

1.  Who feeds you in your house and what times do you get fed?

Usually it are my momma who feeds me and Finley, but occasionally it are Finley's momma.  Most da time it are my momma.  We get fed once in da morning and once at night.

2.  What do you eat for meals?

We eats our kibble (it are Merrick beef or bison usually) and ground beefs on top!  Sometimes dere are other stuff on top, like turkey or chicken or somefin, but most da time it are ground beefs.

3.  Do you get special treats for your birthday, and if so, what are they?

Yeah!  I usually gets a birthday breakfast of eggie weggie.  And extra treats thoughout da day and sometimes somefin special at night.   I's tryin to convince momma to make me a pupcake dis year.

4.  Do you share your house with other pets, and where do they fall in the pet hierarchy?

I lives with my BFF Finley, and da kitties Jezebel, Travis, and Maurice.  I are da Head of Security and do da mostest barkin, but I are not sure bout no hierarchy.  I luvs da kitties and sometimes dey is definitely in charge of me.  Finley likes to think she are Top Dawg, but I don't agree.  Maybe we's all equal, or maybe somes of us animals are just a lil more equal dan others.  BOL BOL!  Bonus points if ya knows what I's barkin bout!

5.  Where is the best place in your world to play?

Da pool are da bestest place to play, but it are not warm enuf to dat right now.

6.  Do you go on walks?  For how long and how often?

I usually go on bout an hour long walk each day as long as da weather are good.

7.  How often do you get groomed?

I don't go to no groomer, but my momma pins me down and tortures me by pulling out my pretty hairs bout once a week.  I get brushed pretty much every day, sometimes every other day.

8.  How often do you have to have a BATH?

Well, it are not "having to have" as I actually luv da baths - I jump in da tub all by myself, sometimes even when I are not sposed to!  BOL BOL!  But I gets a bath bout once a week.

9.  Do you like to watch tv?

Da only thing I likes to watch on TV are da movie Oklahoma.  I's an Oklahoma native in dis house full of Texans and I just luvs my Oklahoma movie.  I gets all excited even hearin da music - at da end of da Oscars last night dey played a tiny bit and I lifted my head right up to look.  I always fall sleep during da dream part though - it are borin.  But I wake up in time for Da Farmer and Da Cowman Should Be Friends.  I know it sounds like I are makin dis up, but it are one hundred percent true - I luvs my Oklahoma movie and nuffin else.  Momma even has a DVD of it for me (mostly for me, she likes it too, but she do not luv it like I do.)

10.  What is da best smell in the world to you?

I fink dat would be da smell of Plano, which are where I live.  Sees, I's lived lotsa places - Lost Angulus, Bawston, Austin, but Plano are home.  It are where my swimmin pool are and when I goes on a road trip, I gets real excited bout smellin it.  When I lived in Lost Angulus and would come back home I couldn't smell it from very far away since da wind blows west to east.  But when I lived in Bawston, I could start smellin it from bout 2 hours away and I start whimperin and huffin da air to get dat sweet Plano smell into my nostrils.  Momma made some jokes bout what Plano smells like - money, Bibles, swimmin pools, heroine, Republicans, curry (yeah, momma are a real jokester, BOL BOL!)  It are not really any of dose particular smells (well, maybe da swimmin pools), but it are somefin special bout my hometown dat I just luv.  Momma says I are bout da onliest one who loves it, BOL BOL!

Anyways, pupses, it are FREEZING here.  Which means no walks today.  But I did get to wear my new Tinkerbell sweater dat momma found for me at Petsmart.  It were on sale since it are March, but it were good to have today.

I also gots a Minnie Mouse one and a Grumpy one.  Momma said da Grumpy one were perfect since I are always barkin at everythin and being a grump.  Guess I are lucky dey did not make Dopey, den guess what I'd have to hear from her.  She thinks she are so funny, she are not.

I guess it are my walkin.  My funny skip I do on counts of my luxatating patellas and da way I prance when I has on a dress and pouts when da peoples do not appreciate da cuteness dat are me.  Oh, and watching Oklahoma.

Of courses!  I sees da Easter bunny all da time in da front yard - I always askin him for treats by barkin, but he still only delivers once a year.

Happy Birthday Finley!

Today it are my BFF Finley's birthday!  She are six today and she got a whole ton of new toys.  I got to play with them a little before she left to go back to Plano.  She even got to take my kitty luv Maurice with her, and I think that is probably da bestest birthday present.  See Maurice and his momma Ally are moved back to Plano!  Dey got all dis stuff packed up and all.  Ally got all graduamatated from da University of Texas last weekend and now her and moved.  Dis are nod good guys, I am gonna be stuck here with just my momma.  Dat same momma I been ignoring for Ally for months.

P.S. - I also got some news on da kitty front.  See, there are this kitty at da apartment complex who was abandoned a couple years ago.  People feeds him and stuff but he don't have no home.  Momma says she are taking him to da vet and if he is all healthy, I may be getting another kitty.  Dis kitty is named Charlie and he are a light orange kitty.  So pupses, keep your paws crossed dat Charlie are a healthy kitty, ok??
