Rockin' Roxi

Hey!

Happy Thursday all!! At the Sassy Studio Designs blog is a new DTBST challenge. This week it's themed "Make it Shiny".

I got to play with a discontinued image called "Rockin' Roxi". She is colored with Promarkers. I made the card into a guitar shape to fit the image and like how it turned out. I distressed the edges and adhered a piece of metal ribbon to the side of the card.

Easter Bunny

Hey!

Here's an egg card I made using a discontinued SSD image called "Easter Bunny". Isn't she cute?

The image is colored with Promarkers and I made a card in an egg shape by using an oval die cut and cutting the bottom freehand till it formed an egg shape. I created a little scene with a couple of dies (fence, birdhouse, 2 kinds of grass, bird and a doily) I used walnut stain distress ink along the edges of the die cuts.

Candy Cane the Elf

Hey!

Happy Thursday! Today starts a new DTBST challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs. It's themed "Traditional Christmas Colors". I hope you'll join in the fun as most of us are still busy making Christmas cards/Tags.

I made a tag using "Candy Cane the Elf" and colored her with Promarkers. The tag is made out of kraft cardstock and I used a bit of white ink around the edges. Added 2 Christmas trees, 2 pieces of ribbon, red lace, jingle bells and a sentiment to create it. A beautiful tag always makes a gift more special.

Bottle Tag

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge at Sassy Studio Designs.
This week it's themed "Anything but a Card".

I made a bottle tag using a discontinued image called "Little Honey's France" and cropped her. She's colored with Promarkers. I started out with a blue strip of cardstock. Folded it over by 1/3 and punch a whole in the smallest part with a circle punch (1 3/8"). I used a piece of script digi paper by Michele R Designs from the Vintage paper pack. Other items used Vintage Flourish die cut, Doily border die cut, Viewmaster die cut, Butterfly die cut, circle and scalloped circle die cut, piece of lace, and a Doily border punch.

Happy Birthday

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. Everybody can join the challenge as it's themed Anything Goes.

I created this card for my brother-in-law using "Pin up Photographer Portrait" and I colored her with Promarkers. I used white and black linen card stock, glossy accents on the glasses and camera lens and 2 Joy Crafts dies (Happy Birthday - Filmstrip).

Sweet as Holiday Pie

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week it's themed "Have a Banner Day".

I got to play with "Sweet as Holiday Pie" and I colored her with Promarkers. I gave her a little gem ear ring that is almost the same color as her dress. The sentiment and the banner are from Joy Crafts. The doily is one I got at a restaurant. Lol... Always take those home. I used 2 water balloons that I got from my son. The lacy is vinyl and the background paper is from a Dutch brand.

After Dark

 Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. For this week the challenge is themed "After Dark" (Create a project that is dark, yet sassy).

I created a card using the image called Wicked Frame (discontinued) and colored her with Promarkers. The card base is made out of white linen cardstock. And I used a embossing folder to create a background. The piece of circle cardstock is black pearle, it has a nice shimmer, is embossed with a spider web embossing folder. I used black and white ink to show the embossing bits. The witches hat and spiders are Quickutz die cuts.

Gone to the Theater

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This weeks theme is Gone to the Theater, create a project using your favorite movie/play/tv show.

I have choosen Belle Pin Up and I cropped her. She's colored with Promarkers and I added glitter gel pen to the hair band and ear ring. On her dress I addhered a little yellow gem. The big rose is an Aurelie die cut (AUCD1002). I have cut the flower 3 times to create a 3D effect. The Dutch seniment is from Joy Crafts.
I always loved the first Beauty and the Beast series back in  1987. Later on in 1991 Disney created the animation based on a traditional fairy tale written by French novelist Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont and published in 1756. I have seen that film many times because of the kids in my family. Every time I watched with them. A few years back I went to the Dutch musical in the theater and now I follow the new Beauty and the Beast series on TV. And of coarse I watch the Once Upon a Time series and can't wait for season 5 to start. So I can Beaty and the Beast applies to the challenge beautifully.

Well now it's time for you to make a lovely project following the theme. You don't have to use a SSD image, but if you do you can enter the challenge twice.

Nurse Heather

Hey!

Today starts a brand new DTBST challenge at the SSD Blog. It's a Tic Tac Toe (pick 3 in a row) challenge and I love those. My Tic Tac Toe items are Die Cut (band aid), Circles (background), Glimmer & Shine (red parts on the nurse).

I wanted to make a get well soon card so I have chosen "Nurse Heather" and colored her with Promarkers and on top of the red parts I added red glitter gelpen. Of coarse I had to give her an earring. The cardbase is made out of white linen cardstock. The circles background I found on the internet. Love this pattern. On top of that I adhered a square out of red linen cardstock. I drew some faux stitching with a white gelpen. The band aid is a Quickutz die cut (QRS0325). The corners are rounded with a 1/2" Zutter Round it All punch.

Ella at the Ball

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week is a theme everyone can play "Your Hearts Desire/Anything Goes".

I made this card using Ella at the Ball and colored her with Promarkers. Just found out a new gorgeous color combo, so I will be using that more often. It had to be a card with butterflies. I have used Michele R Designs digital papers from the Butterfly Garden pack.

Other items used: mini butterfly punch, Joy birdcage die 6003/0034, Joy butterfly die 6003/0033, Joy Happy Birthday edge die 6002/0296, Joy butterfly edge die 6002/0251, Butterfly die 6003/0023, flatback pearls, pink stamen, hot pink lace and a heart brad.

Just Fold It

SSD - All Wrapped Up

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week it's all about folds so "Fold It Up".

I created this card using this gorgeous image called "All Wrapped Up" She is colored with Promarkers. As the bows made me think of butterflies I had to use them on my card. The background paper is from the Digital Basic Vintage set by Michelle Designs. The butterly edge is a die cut, the letters on the little stairs are letter stickers and they spells hooray in Dutch (hoera).

Beach Party Invitation

I made a beach party invitation. This Simply Sassy Swimsuit image went perfect with the gorgeous invitation I found on the internet. I placed the png image on top of the invite and printed it standard photo size on special paper (Clairefontaine DCP Papier A4 190 g/m²). The image is colored with Promarkers.

Father's Day Card

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new Dare to be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs. This week it's themed Anything Goes, so that's easy for everyone!

I decided to make a Father's Day card, because before you know it the day has arrived and I don't know if I'm able to make a card on a short term. I really don't know what the shape of the card is called, but it has a lot of folds. The image is called "Steampunk Amelia" and I colored her with Promarkers. The gears die cuts and border are made with a Noor Design die (if you live in the USA you can find the gear border and dies here). I added some brads to few gears I only used 2 colors of cardstock (kraft and burgundy) the corrugated pieces are recycled bits from a package of cookies. The sentiment is Dutch Father's Day digi where a little brass love key is dangling under.

Clover

Hey!

We don't hav St. Patricks Day in my Country so I didn't use a sentiment. Think this card using SSD's Clover (I cropped it myself) is also suitable for just a good luck card. I colored the image with Promarkers and found a lovely clover background on the internet. I added glitter to the clovers on the had, top and earrings.

I used a lovely Sentimint called "The Longer You Live" and made a card suitable for male or female. Love the retro background. I used 3 different sizes of circle dies. I added some orange gems to the background and distressed the edge of the sentiment.

Candy Cane the Sassy Elf

 Hey!

Welcome to a new DTBST Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This weeks challenge is called "Let it Snow".

I colored this image called "Candy Cane the Sassy Elf" with Promarkers and made a snowball easel card. I just drew a circle and teared the edges. I used gesso to create some texture and added glitter to it while wet. After it dried I finished it with punched out snowflakes, a snowflake charm and a sentiment. I used die cut snowflakes to create a stop so the card stays in place.

Wreath

Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a brand new Dare To Be Sassy Thursday Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This weeks theme is Colors of Christmas.

I used the wreath from the digi called Hanging the Wreath. I colored it with Promarkers added a sentiment in the middle, glitter to the red ribbon on the wreath and a bow out of satin ribbon. I adhered on top of the little berries on the wreath some gems to make it sparkle a lot. Underneath the wreath I adhered red and silver die cut glitter decoration vinyl and 4 metal corner to finish the card.

All that Glitter

 Hey!

Today starts DTBST (Dare To Be Sassy Thursday) challenge #258 at the Sassy Studio Designs blog. The challenge is "All that Glitter".

I used Snowman Pin Up and colored her with Promarkers. I added glitter to the shawl, along the edge of the circle and the poinsettia flower. I used some gems as an ear ring and the heart of the poinsettia on the hat. The mat I created is a piece of glitter foil I found in a budget store. Love how it turned out.

Candy Cane the Sassy Elf

Oh my time flies. It's already the last Thursday of September. So welcome to our new DTBST Challenge "Metalology". This time I made a Christmas card.

I colored Candy Cane the Sassy Elf with Promarkers and added some rhinestones where the little bells would be. The Christmas tree is a template from Dutch Doobadoo. My metal part is a Christmas tree charm. I also added a tree border, little flower, bows and a Magnolia sentiment.

All Wrapped Up

Hey!

Today starts a new DTBST Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. I made this card using the theme "It's a Banner Day".

I colored a digital SSD image "All Wrapped Up" with Promarkers. Used vintage background papers that I distressed around the edges. Underneath the image I added a die cutted page from a book and I distressed those edges too. The banner is die cutted form a pizza box. You  know I love to recycle. On the ribbon it says Happy Birthday, but sadly it doesn't show on the photo. To finish the card I adhered a metal corner.
