Koe is not in the request path. Koe routes audio to the selected provider and manages transformations. No provider key setup is required. The active mode stays visible in the app.

Yes. Download a local model once and Koe can transcribe without an internet connection. Cloud transcription and managed transformations still require a connection.

Koe adds explicit model choice, a custom dictionary, cleanup and formatting, translation, reusable Voice Actions, and local or direct-provider processing. It is built for repeatable professional workflows, not only raw dictation.

Koe uses one global hotkey and pastes into the active text field, so it works across editors, browsers, email, chat, notes, and terminals. Some secure fields or apps that block standard paste can limit insertion.

Koe supports macOS 12 Monterey and later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Apple Silicon is recommended for the best local model performance.

Free includes local dictation, global hotkey and paste, custom dictionary, your own provider keys, and hooks. Pro adds managed cloud transcription and transformations without provider keys. Upgrade happens inside the app.

You can add names, acronyms, product terms, and project vocabulary to the custom dictionary. Recognition still depends on the selected model, microphone, language, and recording conditions.

Yes. Bring your own key to connect directly to a supported provider. Your key stays in the desktop app and Koe is not in the request path for this mode.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from the app or the Stripe customer portal. Access remains active through the current paid period.
