Principles of design harmony

Planning how to teach Principles of Design to your students can be challenging. I cover teaching the Principles of Designs in many different ways in my art curriculum. Here’s some of my favorites.

16) In this picture, the artist used both extreme unity and variety to portray an image that means "one as a family". The variety of shapes and colors used to create the bodies of the family members made it stand out. However, the when the shapes and colors come together, the viewer can see the family as one.
