Participate in the ancient, magical art of shadow puppetry! You'll learn how to make beautiful, mobile, well-articulated puppets out of cardboard, colored acetate, and other things that cast interesting shadows, such as lace and feathers. You'll make characters for a specific story, usually a folk tale, with your classmates, rehearse it and perform it for an audience. The Old Man and the Sea—Pigpen Theatre

At Krafternoon this month we took advantage of the gloomy skies to make shadow puppets. Not a ground breaking idea, I'll grant you, but it was fun to be in a darkened room. Something about it feels special. We have a large screen (available to borrow locally) that I propped up with chairs and lit using a couple spot lights.
