I’ve been having fun watching this happen with my father. He gets really frustrated with those he refers to as “my fellow old people”. He’s 70 and in better shape and more mobile than some 50 year olds I know.

I have a strange problem with my other half when it comes to cheating. She had a chronic medical issue that I managed to fix using good testing methods and a spreadsheet. As a result, she started feeling better, more energetic, inflammation went away, and she lost a good chunk of weight, which took her from “Adorable chubby wife” to “Holy shit, look at that MILF”. This, combined with some strange visual processing problem I have where I cant easily recognize faces, and for several months I felt like I was cheating on my wife.

The bigger issue is that every fire department has the equipment to put out a gasoline fire, but not many of them have the equipment to put out a battery fire.
It’s not that odd.
Gasoline and diesel cars have been around and commonly used for 100 years. Every fire station from New York to obscure towns in Arkansas have the equipment to deal with burning hydrocarbons.
Not many fire departments have the equipment handy to put out a battery fire. Some bigger departments do, but not all.
So when Jim Bob puts his truck in the ditch and catches it on fire after a Saturday night at the bar, the local volunteer FD can just roll over there and put it out. But when someone’s EV catches fire, oftentimes all that the local FD can do is make sure the fire doesn’t spread to houses or grass or trees in the area, and the car has to burn all the way down.

It’s easy to sit on the other side of the border or other side of the ocean from where this is going on and tell strangers to shoot people to assuage your conscience. Building parallel support systems takes time. Organizing takes time. And if you’re looking at our mainstream media, you’ll never know what is actually going on, because they are owned by the very people who want to kill or capture Americans.
