Honestly the number of people in that thread claiming that walking 3 miles in 45mins was some super human ability was shocking. I’d bet good money that they have never actually walked more than 5 mins anywhere other than maybe when shopping.

  • Can’t really see much good coming from yet another left wing party. To the left of labour you have the Greens, Lib Dems, Plaid (Wales), SNP (Scotland), and now this new party.

All this does is split the left vote and make it easier for Reform under FPTP. Plus once this inevitably collapses, it will just put their potential voters (mostly young people) off politics rather than vote for another party.

I hope I am wrong but I think Corbyn has really misjudged this one.

  • We can’t just take the robotaxi companies at their word that they are safer though. Countries need some kind of way to test these like human driving tests. Some kind of automated verification system for each update before it can go public.

Otherwise who’s to say Tesla, for example, won’t release a buggy update that becomes worse? They are already releasing versions that allow the car to exceed the speed limit by x amount so to me that would be an instant fail on a test.
