Oh boy, my time has come!
Yes, there’s a community specifically for this
I know it isn’t very active atm but we can change this.

What are women’s hobbies actually? My wife really likes ice hockey, is that a women hobby? Men hobby? What I mean by this is, that for the past several decades we fought for that there are no “men things” and no “women things”. No gender norms, do whatever makes you happy. And now I’m like wondering where we took the wrong turn that we’re back to puting things into the little sex/gender boxes.
I’m sorry, this isn’t targeted at you personally, I’m just thinking out loud about the society in general
Ugh, this post is so corny
Hmm well my country had socialism and no one was safe from work either. I mean literally, you were put in jail if you didn’t work
It wasn’t about the technology, it was the zeitgeist of that era. If HTML 5 was available at the time, people would code in that

Oh! This kind of blew up for the !slovakia@sopuli.xyz standards!
But @1984@lemmy.world hit it perfectly - my mom used that same recipe from varecha.sk. She said she has one also written in her cooking recipes book but she said they’re all the same.
I heard about them and I’d like to give it a try. But from what I heard, I’m afraid I couldn’t use it as my “daily driver”. Banking apps very probably won’t work, nor my country government apps. Also Facebook + Messenger are unfortunately very important where I live. MS Teams + Outlook would also be nice to have for my job.
But the truth is, I’ve never tried Jolla (nor I know anyone who owns one) so I’m not sure how accurate my view is. Maybe those things are possible to run now, I really don’t know
Done:
Windows -> Ubuntu (but that was long time ago)
Google Translate -> Deepl
Google Maps -> Mapy.com
Reddit -> Lemmy (thinking about somehow to switch to Piefed)
Stocard / Klarna -> Catima
Google photos -> Synology photos
In progress:
Gmail -> Mailbox.org
Tried but failed:
Facebook -> Friendica (not enough people, many important communities on Facebook)
Messenger -> Signal / Matrix / whatever (not enough people)
Android -> whatever (no sensible alternative)
