Literally no idea if it was me or a program that fundamentally didn’t work with Wine.

But that’s honestly not a terrible idea. Get devs to coalesce into indie studios ready to make whatever passion game they’ve had rattling around.

Like, I’d imagine a straight dude will be more uncomfortable being catcalled by a dude than a lady (regardless of whether their avatar is a woman or not). Obviously the study is a bit more robust than that, but it’s still an inherent issue hard to circumvent just with VR.

Like, sure I can install Bazzite, but there’s more setup to be done once again, and if I dislike it then I’m going through the setup once more. I understand it’s not that hard all things considered, but it’s not necessarily easy to just go mucking around with it with limited free time.

eronth@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Should you copy a person's accent when pronouncing their name?21·5 months agoI honestly feel like the “you’re trying to hard to pronounce the country/city/food name” vibe is silly anyways. If they pronounce it “Bærthélōnã” in Barcelona, then why shouldn’t I try to pronounce it that way? Especially these days in our hyper-connected world, I don’t really have an excuse of “well I never knew they said it that way”.
Or it’s brewing up excuses for declining sales.
