As a software developer, I also prefer complete silence and use noise cancelling headphones with nothing playing. The constant screaming tinnitus is enough background noise.

Smelling roses has always reminded me of strawberries, although people think that’s strange. Taste and smell are connected and this explains it.
Those charts are soon going to look a lot worse. I know of many people who had already paid for their vacation before the tariffs were announced, so they went anyway. New bookings for flights from Canada to the U.S. are down over 70%.

Or you start making predictions like Nostradamus that are all accurate.

I wouldn’t survive a week landing in midwest North America in 1523. Assuming civilization somehow continues for 500 more years, you would attract much less attention in scenario 2.

HP reached its pinnacle in 1993 with the 4L laser printer. They were practically indestructible. I bought one and it took 15 years of heavy use to kill it.
Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.” That’s apocalyptic literature, which people interpret in a variety of ways, but it does mention Satan and describes him as a serpent, so it is not a complete leap.
