A horse and a cow are standing in a field.

The cow asks, “What are you thinking about?”

The horse replies, “Nothing,” then promptly disappears.

This is a joke based on Descartes’ famous quote, “I think, therefore I am” (when the horse failed to think, it stopped existing).

I would have explained that first, but then I’d be putting Descartes before the horse.
