I hope this worthless piece of shit dies soon but I hope it is a slow painful, pathetic death not a merciful quick passing from the shithole this fascist will leave behind in his wake.

“And while the District seems tired, Trump seems more so,” Karem wrote. “It doesn’t even seem like the president is trying his hardest to lie to us anymore. He just repeats the same lies with less energy, as if he too has grown weary of his own rhetoric. He’s telling us to turn the page on the Epstein scandal. But he’s on that next page too.”

Well the thing is, if you are filthy rich and have such resources at your disposal, what is terminal for one person doesn’t have to be terminal to another. Medical science has come a long way, alas capitalism has ensured the best stuff is only available for the richest.

You might say hur dur I live in EU land and we have (almost) free top of the line healthcare. Yes, that’s true, hello fellow EU healthcare enjoyer. A close relative of mine still died while on a waiting list, as there were more patients than treatment options available. I’m not saying if they were rich they would have cut in line, but it does happen.

He may not have cancer, but when interviewing Shoigu at the start of the war, he sure gripped that table like his bowels were about to fall out of his asshole. Something was definitely wrong with him health wise at the time.

      Could mean that.

It could also mean someone that used to work there, no longer do, but still has friends there that tell them about the ongoing shit show.

I still talk to old coworkers and get updates about the crap going on at places I used to work. In a place like D.C. where maintaining networking and unofficial communication channels are the way a lot of things get done, this isn’t a stretch at all.

The Atlantic does well. And remember, 2 reporters from there are the only reason we had daily, nationwide numbers on COVID when it hit. (The Reveal podcast has a 3 part series detailing those events.)

Pro publica. The PBS offerings by state. Frontline. Reveal.

There’s still something to be said for local news. Pull up hoa news on YT, as one example, you will get a wall of detailed, local news hoa stories.

I mean, there’s nothing new here other than the city of DC is “hollow” and “low energy”. Trump’s lack of zest for his usual demented ramblings is just what happens when a snake eats an elephant. They just sit there for a long time.

Some context for others here, Kim Il Sung is dead but is still technically the North Korean supreme head of state. He is the “Eternal President” with his successors deriving their notional authority to rule directly from him, but apparently officially deferring to his corpse should the question of precedence come up.

In case anyone was wondering, Kim Kong Il holds (not held) the slightly less exalted titles of “Eternal General Secretary” (of the worker’s party) and “Eternal Chairman” (of the national defense commission). Even though he is quite definitively also dead.

And while we’re at it, Francisco Franco is also still dead.
