Post / postage for AJJ
The latest theme at Art Journal Journey is all about post / postage and this is my contribution - a collage in my very favorite colours!
This journal page is created with Dina Wakley acrylics, a Magda stamp (Agatas parrot), a Tim Holtz stencil and a lot of collected postage items.
Love to you all!
Lena

"Less is more" for AJJ
This might seem like a shortcut or a page with little work put into it - but is was NOT. I got this phrase into my head and couldn't get it out. I had the perfect stamp and I started layering the background . Sorry if the photo doesn't show that...
Anyway - this is how I sometimes feel when I have noone to ask for advise and the theme at Art Journal Journey this month is "less is more" .
I used stamps from denimtampon and cherry pie art stamps, gesso, acrylics, puncinella, starpunches and dylusion ink sprays.
Now we will start sanding the floor - no crafty time for me, I believe.
Wish you all a nice september!
Lena
(ps - I got my SODAlicious delivery today - LOVE everything in that parcel!!!)

Architecture for Art Journal Journey
Art Journal Journey 's challenge in July is about architecture. I had to dig quit deep in my tresure of stamps to find something suitable... the quote by J W Goethe -" I call architecture frozen music".
Can you spot the beautiful gargoyle?
Lux is hot and sweaty right now - no temperature below 20° - we long for the beach and cool water!!!
But we don't complain - after this long and cold winter, we are NOT allowed to complain...:-)
Wish you all a nice week!

"Challenge yourself" for AJJ
This month the Art Journal Journey would like us to challenge ourselves and do something we normally don't do. I decided to dribble and draw freehanded like my friend Jaine sometimes does.
But beeing me, of course I had to add a stamp aswell ( I wouldn't have joined this scrapworld if it hadn't been for the good old wednesdaystampers, where you could entry with anything as long as you had stamped something), and right now , I just LOVE this little tree hanger from Stampotique.
"Burst, release, blast" - the way the nature simply explodes in colours and different shades of green.
Hope you like it!

my landscape for the Art Journal Journey
Et voila...!" The landscape within me"- a hope that the flowers will return with all their beauty, the words to be said swirling in my head, and finally the heavenly blue colours making me smile...
This is my entry to the monthly challenge at Art Journal Journey.
"Any landscape is a condition of the spirit".
Happy sunday!

who deserves a crown?
...this is my very first blog post this year!!!
...had forgotten how time pass with the house full of children, husband, boyfriends and girlfriends!
...and now we are reorganizing our youngest daughters room - I have the feeling like living in IKEA.
Tomorrow the last trip will be over and everything finished... I hope!
This is my entry to Art Journal Journey, where the theme this month is "crowns". Pls, go and check it out if you like art journaling! Great site!
I went a bit crazy creating the background, with all in all , 7 different masks and stencils. I just couldn't stop myself...(hi, hi...)
The stamps are from Tuscan Rose and Heidi Swapp.
And, PLEASE, don't misunderstand me - I LOVE being a mother, but sometimes it is hard with all those feelings involved. The children grow and they have to find their own ways - it is just hard to let them...(?)
I hope you all had a good start of the new year and that it will continue to be good!
Take care out there!

Summer with magazines!
Rain over the grand duche of Luxemburg! And we are heading for a family day with outside games... I wonder how wet we will get!
This is my summer spread for Art Journal Journey.
At the same time I would like to join the the Art Journal Café with this entry, where the theme is "using magazines".
Creating this journal spread I've used gesso, a norwegian magazine, dylusion ink sprays with a mask, sizzix letters and stamps from Toga.
Hope the rain will stop soon!
Wish you all a great sunday!

Flowers
I feel that I am getting more and more crazy... I just cant stop myself from falling in love with the most weird papers - like school papers, like calendars, like office stuff...!!!
Going through my husbands stuff in his office , I found this wonderful calendar with these gorgeous pages. I decided to try different techniques and fill the papers with flower stuff. This is one page. I used a lot of different stamps and fabric as well. The coloring is glimmer mist, because I didn't have any other colors with me as we had our monthly session with our local scrap group.
And I have to say that I did like the colors, the way they were...
So this will be my entry to the art journal journey where the theme this month is flowers.
Keep going - spring is on its way!!!

ORANGE
This is my spread for art journal journey, where the team would like to see some orange. I finished these pages today thinking of somebody I care for alot. I hate to let somebody down, but yesterday I think I did... sooo sorry!
I used stamps from inkido, artemio and hero art. Rub ons from fancypants. The wings are from Tim Holtz. Colours used - perfect pearls gold, distress ink; glimmer mists and a lot of acrylics...
Inspiration and the feeling that I HAD TO TRY THIS OUT all came from this lady. LOVE her style and I admit that this is a "copy" of her work - but I just had to give it a go!
Wish you all a sunny september!
