LOTV new products…

Good morning everyone, I’m here again…

two posts in one week, I think that must be a first for me!

I need to let you know that the latest product launch from Lili of the Valley is now available to buy on the website. There are new Art Sheets and Paper Pads and also some rubber stamps (both new and old designs)

I love the Art Sheets as you know so I used one of the printed images with some of the new papers for this card, it’s for my friend who recently became a Grandma…

Art Sheet 39 Little Ones Pink 2

Here’s what I used;

Art Sheet 39 – Little Ones (pink)

Soft Cuddles (pink) backing papers

Celebrate – Elizabeth Crafts stamp and die set

Tattered Lace essential pearl rectangle dies (I used the largest one to make the borders)

There’s some sparkle pen on the clouds too which doesn’t really show on the photo

I bought this the other day when I got my halloween pumpkin, for no other reason than it’s so perfect and cute (and tiny!)

IMG-1245

What can I do with it though? I don’t like pumpkin but do like butternut squash so am guessing it might be somewhere in-between. It’s not big enough to make soup really so if anyone has any ideas or has used it before I’d love to know because I don’t want to waste it (and I can’t just keep on admiring it!)

…by the way thanks Kate for the Scotch Broth recipe, I’ll be trying that now the weather is colder

*

I guess I’ll be sat in for most of the weekend with Manny climbing on my knee while the fireworks go off. He’s a quivering wreck and much as I love going to a bonfire I’d never leave him on his own knowing he was frightened

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great weekend and take care everyone

Devastated…

Good afternoon lovely crafty friends, thanks so much for stopping by

I have really sad news today...

... if you follow my blog you will know that my Daughter Jess has a little dog, Rolo, our Grandbaby who we all adore

He ran out of the gate on Sunday and was hit by a car, we are devastated.

They were right behind him but were so shocked they didn’t get chance to look at the car before it sped off. How could anyone do that, just drive off and leave him there?

He died on the way to the vets but even if he’d got there sooner they said they couldn’t have done anything because he had internal injuries, our poor little Rolo

Jess is absolutely heartbroken, he’s her baby and they just moved into their first home last week - he was so excited to finally have his own garden

It seems so surreal, we’ve had dogs all my life but they have lived to a ripe old age and had a peaceful end, this has been such a terrible shock

…he was Manny’s little mate too

I’ve been helping Jess to move over the last couple of weeks and get the house ready so crafting has taken a bit of a back seat

These are a couple of cards that never made it onto the blog…

Baby Girl

Papers - DoCrafts Forever Friends ‘New Arrival’

Lawn Fawn sentiment die

MFT border die

Babygrow - Sue Wilson (I think, maybe Fuzzy Lemon?)

Tonic Nuvo jewel drops

new home Jess

This die set was one I bought from someone on ebay

I saw the sentiment on Pinterest and loved it so just printed it on the computer, I like mixing fonts

Thanks so much for listening my lovely friends that live in my computer

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are doing

New beginnings, and retiring images

Good evening lovely crafty friends, hope you are all well

Not much to report tonight, it’s been a pretty quiet couple of weeks but I’m not complaining because I finally found some time to get in the craft room!

*

Lili of the Valley have a lovely new release with some of the cutest baby images, sentiments and alphabets

I made this pop up box card for a change, I wanted something special for a precious new arrival. These have a bit of a WOW factor but are quite easy to make from a piece of A4 card, it folds nice and flat for posting too

I used one of the new digital images called Polka Dots, also available as a simply print

The baby sentiments are lovely, there are 12 in the set and they each come in 5 different colours

I also used the new toy box alphabet which again has 5 different colourways included

The papers are Country Meadow from NitWits and the heart banner is Penny Black

Some of the older images are being retired on May 4th and there are some fantastic deals on them. Take a look to see if there are any you missed before they are gone

Finally I know a few of you stampers have struggled with using the digital images (Debra, are you here??)

There are a couple of guides on the website which you may find useful

That’s it for now, enjoy the rest of your week everyone

Congratulations…

Hello everyone, thank you for all the get well messages - you are a lovely lot!

Seems there have been quite a few of you also not well, I hope you are all feeling better now. I thought I was getting over it when I did my post last week but another week has gone by and I have just not got an ounce of energy, I can’t be bothered to even turn the TV on. I have magazine commissions to do and have just sat looking at them, not getting any further than shuffling a few papers around. It’s been very strange because however I feel I can usually muster up the energy to do some crafting!

Anyway onwards and upwards, I don’t have new work to share so this is a card from last year that never made it to the blog…

LOTV cosy pram

I used some gorgeous Maja design papers (I hate cutting into these but it was a special card!)

The image is a Simply Print of Cosy Pram from Lili of the Valley which you can also get a a digi or a rubber stamp, it’s a lovely image

The heart banner is Penny Black and I did the sentiment on the computer

I made it for my Nephew and his girlfriend last summer when they found out she was expecting. If you visit my blog regularly you’ll know I became a Great Aunt just before Christmas to a precious girl, she is an absolute delight…

I saw the sun today for the first time in what seems like months so hopefully it’s a sign that Spring is not too far away, I sat in the conservatory with Manny and just enjoyed the warmth it was lovely!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend crafty friends

Just a note…

Good evening lovelies. Hope you are all well and have something nice planned for the weekend

Two posts in one week from me, that’s a got to be a first but I’ve been making a few cards using the new bears from Lili of the Valley so I’d thought I’d share these because they are on sale NOW!

This sweet image is called ‘Greg - Just a Note’ and is available in rubber, digi, or simply print

LOTV Just A Note 2

LOTV Just A Note

I wanted pale pastel colours because these were for new baby cards, I find it hard to achieve that effect with markers so I used distress inks and made a wash. I should have done the letter a different colour looking at them but overall I got the look I wanted

The ‘sending love and hugs’ is done with a useful Wplus9 stamp/die set from Seven Hills Craft and the baby girl sentiment is a swirly string sentiment from LOTV

I used some Tonic jewel drops on the top card too which is my new favourite product!

*

Hope you like them, there are some great launch offers on the new bears so get in early because they are only for a limited time

*

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate you visiting and for taking the time to leave me a comment

Have a great weekend everyone

Baby Tags…

Evening all, how was your weekend? We had a few days away in Chester and it was a nice break. It’s a lovely city, lots to see and very historic

I had a couple of places on the Coast planned for today, I’d love to see the statues on Crosby beach, but the weather was so bad we just did a bit of shopping and headed back home after lunch

We just took my Mum out for tea as she’s been looking after Manny (and Joe, but I didn’t tell him that!) so I don’t seem to have stopped eating for the last 4 days – I’m stuffed and dread facing the scales next Monday, I’m going to need to starve between now and then!

*

I made a couple of tags using the gorgeous Tiny Miracles papers from Lemon Craft which are available from the Ribbon Girl

ribbon girl lemon craft tags

Sorry but the coloured images are discontinued I was just using them up, I printed the sentiments on the computer

All the lovely embellishments also come from the Ribbon Girl… tulle, stickles, flatback pearls, white seam binding, pink and ivory pearl flatback hearts, pink 23mm organza, ivory button twine, Charlotte Elizabeth vintage style lace, Leah scallop flat lace, ivory jute mesh ribbon

*

Hope you like them, I’m going to catch up on the final Game of Thrones episode now, I can’t wait. We were away last night so I missed it (although I would have watched it on my ipad if I’d known the football was going to be such a joke!)

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone, thanks for stopping by

Hey everyone ….

I’m having some time off work this week to get some chores done although I haven’t actually done much yet because the weather has been so gorgeous  …in fact I’ve been completely lazy if I’m going to be honest!!
I set off for Marks & Spencers yesterday to get my friend a birthday present, it took me all day to muster up the energy to go and then I got 5 minutes down the road, got stuck in traffic and turned round and came back home!

This is a Christening card I made for my friend, I’d already taken the picture but just before I gave her it I decided to add a couple more flowers to the top right of the image so this isn’t quite the finished result.
She was really pleased with it, I’ve done a few recently with names and it makes them very personal and something you could never get in a shop.

All Our Dreams

Here’s what I used on the card;
Lili of the Valley stamp – all our dreams – coloured with ProMarkers
Core’dinations card
Maja design paper (I love this paper for boy’s cards, it’s so hard to find a good blue one)
Tim Holtz brads
Lace and flowers from The Ribbon Girl
Spellbinders nestabilities labels 18
The sentiment and name were done on the computer

That’s it from me today, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day x
