Mickey used to be a fucked up little freak who looked like a Tijuana Bible version of himself. His personality was just “nasty guy.” Used to be the kind of guy who would get a stabbing technique named after him in the Central Valley and was voted “least likely to be buried” in his high school yearbook. Used to show up to weddings he wasn’t invited to soaking wet and scowling and would get kicked out for trying to fight the bride’s dad.
Damn shame what they did to him.
Mickey is such a bastard in this
I dunno, Walt.
Great innovative technical work, especially with those POV shots, but this mouse is a bit of a gutter rat; almost cruelly manipulating his animal buddies - at one point even plucking a poor turkey's tail out for plane parts - so he can satisfy his selfish need of building an aircraft in order to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Charles Lindbergh... and, hot potato, don't even get me started on his disgraceful attitude towards the opposite sex - driving sweet Minnie to suicide! Come on now!
I really don't know, doc. I don't reckon he's going to become successful...
There's a POV shot in this of an airplane propeller hitting and mutilating a cow's udders.
Public domain time, you mouse bastard!
Nah but really this was actually really charming and fun, has that one pov sequence which was actually really cool to see for a cartoon this old.
Not looking forward to the terrible horror slashers people are gonna make now that the earliest version of Mickey is in the public domain but hopefully at least ONE actually creative person will make something along the lines of this, we need more of those because Disney certainly isn’t doing it.
in just one day 2 slashers and 1 horror game for mickey mouse were announced public domain was a fucking mistake
In a development that has shocked Hollywood, the Walt Disney Company announced it has severed ties with longtime mascot Mickey Mouse after footage from 1928 has resurfaced online showing multiple alleged incidents of abuse and violent behavior.
at the beginning idk why but i heard "lingan guli guli guli" my brain is cussing brainroted
The Mouse, honoring known Nazi Charles Lindbergh, takes Minnie on a plane and assaults her. And they literally play "Dixie" in the cartoon as well.
I never knew Mickey Mouse used to be a such a dick back in the day... Why's he always abusing innocent animals? Even his own girlfriend jumps out of a plane with him in it because of his psychotic tendencies.
Plane Crazy is a simple, pleasant little short from the very, very early years of Disney. I believe this was actually the first cartoon to be produced starring Mickey, though Steamboat Willie was released beforehand. It obviously shows its age now, the gags are fairly sharp and the animation style is smooth.
I always enjoy these old cartoons just because of the visual gags and different styles used to work within the limitations of the time. This one is pretty good and can still land laughs to this day.
Happy public domain day bitches!
This ends like Minnie showing Mickey her fat ass
Mickey is a rapist lowkey
