Catherine Verrelli is a tax partner in Ernst & Young’s global compliance and reporting practice. She also serves as Long Island office managing partner, a role in which she is responsible for fostering a culture of belonging and inclusion and connecting clients with more than 250 professionals across all EY service lines.
Verrelli, who has been with the Big Four firm for more than 20 years, is actively involved in the community. Currently, she sits on the board of trustees of St. John’s University, where she chairs the audit committee and is a member of the President’s Dinner committee. Prior to her current board role, she served on the university’s board of governors. Additionally, Verrelli is on the board of directors of the Long Island Association and a member of its audit committee. She is also a board member of The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) and a member of the Financial Women’s Association.
As a global tax account leader, Verrelli works with multinational public and privately held companies in the technology, manufacturing, construction, and retail and consumer products industries, coordinating all aspects of federal, state/local and international tax services. Her experience includes serving as the signing tax partner on the audit of a Fortune 150 company for more than 10 years. She also has extensive experience accounting for income taxes, and with U.S. federal and state corporate and partnership tax compliance and reporting.
A St. John’s University graduate, Verrelli holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Long Island University.
