A partner of Prager Metis and a member of Prager Metis International Group, Marianna Mooney wears many hats for the firm. She serves as managing partner of the firm’s Woodbury office and as team leader for transitions of internal mergers. She also trains and develops new team members.

Mooney, who has more than 20 years of experience within the accounting profession, has expertise in audit and accounting as well as tax services. She is very proactive in handling all matters to meet her clients’ needs. In addition to providing specialized advice in the areas of tax planning, she also consults with her clients on business management and financial statements as well as their business and personal tax returns. She works closely with her clients in several industries, including entrepreneurial services, healthcare, hospitality and professional services. Her accounting expertise in medical and professional practices has led to many financial success stories for her clients.

LIBN honored Mooney as one of the Top 50 Women in Business on Long Island. She was also recently named Best Accountant in the Long Island Herald’s Choice Awards.

Mooney joined Prager Metis upon its combination with Mayer CPAs in 2016.

A certified public accountant, she is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mooney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from St. John’s University.
