Mark Kaplan is president of RIPCO Real Estate, where he oversees all day-to-day activities and is responsible for growth of the brokerage and management businesses, implementing new initiatives and establishing additional service lines. Kaplan is also a co-founder and partner of Sagamore Hill Partners, a real estate investment company that acquires and develops properties in the New York metropolitan area.
Prior to joining RIPCO, Kaplan was a principal of Kabro Associates, a privately held real estate development and management company. Before joining Kabro, Kaplan was a large-loan CMBS originator at Credit Suisse in New York.
Kaplan is an executive board member and former vice president of the Long Island Real Estate Group as well as co-founder of LIREG’s New Generation Division. Additionally, Kaplan is a proud supporter of the Covenant House and a member of its Real Estate Executive Sleep Out Committee. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Young Presidents’ Organization.
Kaplan earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Previously, he graduated with honors from Tulane University with a degree in finance. Kaplan is a licensed real estate broker and member of the New York State Bar Association.
Established in 1991, RIPCO has eight offices on Long Island, and in New York City, Connecticut, New Jersey and Florida.
