Marcor Construction, Marcor Solar and MGM Construction Services 

Gina Farese, chief executive officer of West Babylon-based Marcor Construction, Marcor Solar and MGM Construction Services, is a pioneering force in the regional construction and solar sectors. Raised in her father’s roofing business, Farese earned a finance degree at age 19 and later returned to her roots, transforming her father’s business and founding Marcor Solar. Her ventures have addressed critical gaps in the solar energy market, especially by supporting homeowners impacted by defunct solar companies and helping solar firms integrate profitable roofing divisions. She has an unmatched understanding of the regional construction landscape, including its complex and multilayered licensing, permitting and insurance requirements.

Farese is an advocate for homeowners and is dedicated to educating the public about contractors and solar installers involved in fraudulent and deceptive practices. She works with homeowners’ associations across the region, sharing her knowledge as a licensed public insurance adjuster to ensure those associations receive value and have the proper insurance protection. Farese is an expert in New York State’s Scaffold Law and insurance practices that ensure the safety of employees and construction workers on job sites. She was appointed chair of the Nassau County Consumer Affairs’ home industry board. She is also a member of the Suffolk County Consumer Affairs’ home improvement contracting board and serves on the Long Island Builders Institute’s board of directors. Her leadership has been recognized many times by business and construction organizations.

A dedicated wife and mother of two, Farese resides in West Islip.
