Rayenne "Etoiles" Guendil is an Ultimate commentator from Paris, France, who also competes as an Ultimate Pac-Man main.

One of France's most prominent streamers, he has wins over both top French players and notable international players like Hungrybox, Luugi, Pink Fresh and Rocke, and has used his streaming career to help promote the French competitive scene. He regularly commentates French tournaments including the majors Ultimate WANTED 3, L'Odyssée, and Ultimate Fighting Arena 2022, and has provided official French commentary for various North American majors, including GENESIS 9 and X and Smash Ultimate Summit 6, with the French-language streams being hosted on his Twitch channel.

Biography[edit]

Etoiles started his streaming career in 2015. As of 2023, he has become one of the 20 biggest French-language Twitch streamers with over 850,000 followers and over 230,000 subscribers on his main YouTube channel. His content includes various subjects, such as video games, trivia-related competition, and the exploration of museums and historical locations.[1][2][3]

As part of his engineering studies, Etoiles worked as an intern at the esports organization Solary for nine months in 2019.[4]

Etoiles' favorite Ultimate player is Tea. The two are friends, and frequently play together when attending the same event.[5] They notably teamed up for Ultimate WANTED 4 in August 2022, placing 9th.[6] At the event, he also defeated Mika in an exhibition set.

At WANTED Season 5 - Chapter 2 in July 2022, Etoiles won a 14-player "All Stars" side-tournament featuring various popular French content creators. He placed 49th in the singles tournament.[7] At Ultimate WANTED 4 in August, he won the second edition of the side-event.[8]

His first time commentating in-person at an overseas event was GENESIS 9 in the United States in January 2023. He also entered the singles tournament, placing 385th after losses to naitosharp and Blane.[9] In March 2023, he attended Smash Ultimate Summit 6 to provide French commentary. He also won the Celebrity Bracket side event by defeating Pink Fresh, Cagt, and Hungrybox.

In February 2024, he was part of the French commentary team and competed in the Ultimate singles bracket at GENESIS X. He successfully upset Vermin Miller and Rocke to finish Day 1 in Winners. However, he DQ'd from the tournament to attend the Streamer Awards instead, as he had been nominated for the Best Fighting Games streamer and Best International Streamer awards.[10] At the Streamer Awards, he was named the Best Fighting Games streamer of the year.[11][12]
