The online service “Carvana” was introduced alongside the company’s launch, reflecting its new model for selling cars online. At the center of the image is a blue circle with the minimalist front face of a white car, above which an orange halo floats. The halo even received the unofficial name “car with a halo.” The car silhouette is shown from the front. The vehicle is rendered concisely: mirrors, headlight outlines, and the windshield. The logo combined visual lightness with a product reference, while also building an image of almost angelic purity and transparency into the brand’s perception of the transaction.

The name “Carvana” is made of two parts. The first part, “car,” is a direct reference to an automobile. The second part, “vana,” is associated with the English word “caravan,” meaning a group of vehicles moving along a set route. Together, it creates a short, sonorous name associated with the company’s core activity: the buying and selling of cars that are continually moving from sellers to buyers.

To the right of the symbol is the name “CARVANA,” set in a gray typeface. The font refers to classic geometric typefaces such as “Futura” or “Avenir.” It has an interesting detail. In the letter “A,” the horizontal stroke is replaced with a small triangle. Visually, the word is divided into two parts by the different weights of the letters. “CAR” is made of thin letters, while “VANA” is made of denser and bolder ones.
