The Lady by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  How quickly summer is passing by.  I cannot say that that saddens me because I do not particularly like summer.  Way too many bugs, hot temperatures and awful humidity.

The Design Team members for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog have been on their summer break.  Team A kicks off the new challenge which starts today.  The theme is CHARMING (Add a Charm).  I chose The Lady by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  What a classy lady she is!

I drew the simple background, and used Copics and Polychromos to colour this fabulous image.  If you would like to see some more inspiration by the other Design Team members, please check here.  And, while you are there, why not join in the fun?  There are some beautiful prizes to be won.

Thank you for visiting.  I sincerely appreciate it.  In the interim, I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

The Moment by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi, crafty friends!  Today, I am showcasing my 2nd DT inspirational card which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook challenge.  Our theme this month is "Celebrations".

This theme lends itself to many different interpretations.  I chose this delightful image ("The Moment") because I love to read, and teacups and fairies have always held a fascination for me.  This image can be found in Ching-Chou's etsy shop here:

I wanted to include a book charm on this card.  It was snowing on the day that I was making it.  I was too lazy to drive in the snow, so I made my own tiny book charm.  And, it has pages that can be flipped!  How cool is that?  Here is a close-up of my book:

If you look closely, the author's name is "F.C. Markers".  Who is that?  Well, "F.C." is for Faber-Castell pencils and "Markers" is for Copic Markers (my favourite mediums for colouring).  I thought that was rather clever - LOL!

As usual, I made my flowers and pinwheel bow.  That's all from me.  Have a lovely day!  Lori P xx

Recipe

Leaves:  Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf" strip
Flowers:  EK Success "Retro" punch (small and medium)

Pearls, Swarovski cystals, chain and ribbon are from my stash

Cherry Sprite

Hi everyone!  I made this card a few weeks ago for the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.  Mitzi has so many darling little sprites. This delightful image is "Cherry Sprite" by Aurora Wings.  You can find this cutie here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/475318568/digital-stamp-cherry-sprite-whimsical?ref=shop_home_active_56

She is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I decided to create a frame with lace and a matching bow ornament.  I used "Wicker Weave" embossing folder by Cuttlebug and "Doily Lace" punch by Martha Stewart.  Cherries charm, pearls and flowers are from my stash.

A close-up:

Have a happy day,
Lori P xx
