- Democracy is unique among all forms of government in that it demands that people accept uncertainty in outcome based on certainty of process
- People’s behaviors flow from the commitments they have. (I can fight with people either in a way to preserve the relationship or not) We don’t ask people to commit to democracy but ask them to behave in a certain way.
