Even Ispmail Workaround has no ide how to update Dovecot.

Do not try to upgrade your existing server using apt-get dist-upgrade. There are too many changes especially with Dovecot.

Seems to me that Mailvelope is one of the easier ways to get with the program for users of Hotmail or Google Mail on desktop web. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been daydreaming of an olm/double ratchet over email but apparently that requires key exchange which isn’t possible on an asynchronous communication protocol like SMTP. 😭
