I always use Audrey’s “Horses Are Honest” to test sound stuff like headphones or amps or speakers, not that it’s the most all-around or dense song, because it’s not, but if a sound system can’t play the drum break in Horses Are Honest in a way that breaks and heals my heart, what’s even the point?

Two of the songs from these guys’ list that I sometimes additionally use are “60 feet tall” and “The Rite of Spring” (the opening or sometimes the entire thing). I guess I’m sensitive to attack/decay issues because I have a bunch of the other songs they bring up but I’ve never tested with them the way I have with these aforementioned three. 🤷🏻‍♀️
