Jack Seavor McDonald is an actor born in Mission Viejo, CA who currently resides in Los Angeles. Jack is best known for his portrayal of Clive on Ted, Eric on Never Have I Ever, and as Tristan in the movie Ick. Fans can find him streaming on Netflix in Never Have I Ever and on Peacock in his memorable role as Clive in Ted. Ick will be streaming this fall. Jack has loved making people laugh for as long as he can remember, a passion that was first nurtured by his Grammy, who became his earliest friend and comedy partner. They spent countless hours making each other laugh, and she remains a huge part of who Jack grew up to be. His mom and sister continue to be his biggest fans and the first to hear his jokes, while his niece and nephew, Sully and Lenny, serve as his toughest crowd in the very best of ways. Jack is continually intrigued and impressed by their quick wit and natural comedic timing. Jack's acting foundation was laid by his high school drama teacher, Christian Kiley, who recognized his passion and guided him through scene work and school productions, providing invaluable individual performance notes that shaped his early development. His performance instincts were evident from childhood, as he eagerly took on mascot roles throughout his school years-bringing Jack Banana to life for his fifth grade reading program, embodying Sharky for his middle school basketball team, and donning an eagle costume for his high school. Jack grew up immersed in the vibrant theater community of VSPI (Valverde Stage Productions Inc.), which provided him with a supportive creative environment that fostered his artistic growth. He continued his formal training at Cal State Fullerton, where he studied under Craig Tyrl and John Short, both of whom emphasized the crucial role of a strong, playful imagination in achieving grounded, believable performances. During his college years, Jack immersed himself in classical acting theory, particularly drawing inspiration from Konstantin Stanislavski's seminal work "An Actor Prepares." While pursuing his education, Jack worked the graveyard shift at a gas station from 11 PM until 7 AM. His friend Casey made posters declaring "Come Visit Graveyard Jack" to help him stay awake, and it worked brilliantly. Professors and students would show up to take selfies with him, and fellow actors from his program even performed an impromptu skit one night, with Jack on a date while another played a chef serving food from inside the gas station. Visiting Jack at the gas station became one of the cool things to do in the area. This colorful chapter ended when his brother-in-law's frequent visits and tendency to sit on the counter became too much for Jack's boss to tolerate. As a performer, Jack has demonstrated remarkable versatility across genres. He has a natural ability for comedy and the ability to improvise, and he also brilliantly delivered grounded performances. His leading role as an anxious, introverted young man in a high school film showcased his ability to carry dramatic weight, while his portrayal of a young Nick Frost as a romantic lead in a 1910s period piece highlighted his period acting skills and accent work. He is most proud of his portrayal of Clive on Ted, and his stage performance of Seussical Jr. as Horton the Elephant. Jack's talents extend well beyond traditional acting. He possesses a particular gift for accents and impressions, having successfully employed both English and Boston accents in his work.

His quick wit makes him naturally adept at improvisation and comedic timing. Additionally, Jack is an accomplished cook and enjoys singing! When he's not performing, Jack enjoys life with his spouse Jo and their beloved dog Willy, a unique mix of Cattle Dog, Chihuahua, Mini Pinscher, and a few other breeds. Willy loves her parents dearly and prefers to keep a tight-knit social circle, choosing to spend all her time with Jack and Jo rather than socializing with other dogs. Jack Seavor McDonald represents the kind of dedicated, well-rounded performer who combines solid technical training with natural charisma, family grounding, and an eagerness to take on diverse challenges across multiple entertainment mediums. Jack Seavor McDonald's star continues to rise as he shares his gift for making people laugh and smile with ever-larger audiences, bringing contagious joy and humor to every production.
