Omer Ben-Shachar

Omer Ben-Shachar is an award-winning writer and director. His film 'Tree #3' won a 2019 Student Academy Award, and received top prizes at UrbanWorld, Palm Springs, and HollyShorts, among others. His short 'Down Here' won a 2023 Webby Award, was named 'Best of Vimeo Staff Picks', and was nominated for a Cannes Lions Young Directors Award. He was a 2024 Film Independent Screenwriting Lab Fellow, a 2023 Film Independent Project Involve Directing Fellow, a participant of the 2020 Warner Bros. TV Directors' Workshop and the 2019 Paramount's Viewfinder Directors Program. Omer is a graduate of the AFI Conservatory, where he received the Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence Award for Directing. Beyond his narrative work, Omer has directed music videos featured on Rolling Stone, Billboard, Directors' Library, Nowness and at the Hammer Museum's Flux Series.
