Chiara Aurelia
From executive producer Jessica Biel (“The Sinner”), “Cruel Summer” is a psychological thriller that follows two young women: Kate Wallis, the popular girl with a charmed life who one day goes missing, and Jeanette Turner, the nerdy wannabe who is accused of being connected to Kate’s disappearance. All signs point to Jeanette’s guilt, but is Kate really who she seems to be? Set over three summers and told through shifting points of view, the series challenges perception and follows how one girl can go from being a sweet outlier to the most despised person in America.

CHIARA AURELIA is a critically acclaimed actress who recently made her Broadway debut starring in the Tony-nominated play JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN, following her starring role in the Off-Broadway production DILARIA. She is widely known for her breakout performance in Freeform's hit series CRUEL SUMMER - the highest-rated new cable drama among women 18-34, and the strongest-rated original series in the platform's history, now streaming on Hulu - for which Aurelia earned a Critics Choice nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series, a Best Actress nomination from the Women's Image Network (WIN), and a Best Actress nomination from the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA).

Aurelia recently wrapped production on the independent feature CAITY, starring in the title role opposite Morgan Spector. The film marks the feature directorial debut of emerging filmmaker Lindsay Calleran and was developed with the support of Sundance's Catalyst program, which champions bold, independent female filmmakers.

On screen, Aurelia is known for her work in Netflix's LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE opposite Mila Kunis; Peacock's HYSTERIA!; Netflix's FEAR STREET PART TWO: 1978; and Made Up Stories' TELL ME YOUR SECRETS. Her acclaimed portrayal of Young Jessie in GERALD'S GAME earned her Best Supporting Young Actress honors from both The BAM Awards and The Young Entertainer Awards, solidifying her reputation for bringing exceptional depth and emotional complexity to her roles.

Born in Taos, New Mexico, Aurelia began performing in theatre at the age of four. She currently resides in New York.
