Derek Talib
Producer/Writer/Director Derek studied fine arts at Ohio University and was heavily influenced by graphic novel story telling in how a story was told visually. Manga, Marvel, D.C. and IMAGE comics would influence his design within the film realm. Derek had been in acting and fine arts since his high school days and into college where he was the lead in two main theater productions as well as minor parts in student films.
His studying of comic book illustration gave him a unique perspective when he directs because he always sees the "Storyboard" when he is directing a scene. Derek's work is born from his artistic influences, such as, Frank Miller, and, his understanding of the graphic novel medium helps shape the art and style of the worlds he creates. His strength as a writer is creativity and detail rich characters. Derek's scripts are rife with strong female characters and intricate relationship design.
Derek has written dramas such as; a six episode web series, "A Child Called Myracle", an 8 season ready TV series, "St. Gabriel", the recently released and worldwide distributed, award-winning feature film, "Dark Iris", the award winning short films, "Code 207", and " pre-production feature films, "A Wicked Breed". and "Federal Court" Derek has directed multiple projects and been on multi million-dollar sets, such as, "Captain America the Winter Soldier", "I am Wrath", and "Tank". He has also , worked on multiple indie films where he has either directed, wrote, or help produce. Derek is to play "Caine" in an upcoming mob film called "Gemini" Directed by upcoming film director Tim Novotny. Derek has written and directed the supernatural thriller "St. Gabriel".

His strength is his creativity, His acting has been recognized by Indie film projects and can be seen on the upcoming St.Gabriel and Gemini series and films.
