Brenna Coates is an Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning actor known for her acclaimed work on New York City's Off-Broadway stages before expanding into film and television. After graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Coates went on to earn critical praise for originating her role in The Wolves, earning several prestigious Off-Broadway awards. She also received a Dora Mavor Moore Award for her performance in Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem.
Coates has acted as the lead or supporting lead in over 10 feature films. She has worked alongside comedy legends Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase, and most recently starred in a Robert Lantos-produced feature directed by Oscar nominated Filmmaker Anita Doron. She was born in Toronto, Ontario to actor Kim Coates and teacher Diana Chappell, and holds dual Canadian-American citizenship.
