Magpie Richens

Magpie is capable of using many art forms but is commonly used as an Actor/Rapper and is a longstanding Volunteer at Skimstone Arts (since 2011) and has a dream to run his own multi-disciplinary arts organization called Corvid's Nest to help young people between the ages of 16-25 who have been/ or are homeless and suffer from mental health issues.
In 2020 the Reality Boots album Evolve was recorded and released onto digital streaming platforms and in 2021 Magpie joined them under Magpie Richens with the spoken word piece.
His career spans may site specific performances along side actors in the North East of England and has performed in many focusing on Social action and humanity from the Peace Procession trilogy, City Oddesey and The Fallen. Since 2020 and his switch to Norse Paganism or Heathenry most of his work post 2020 has heavy influences from folk melodies, references to Sagas and Polytheism.
