Devin Polar(I)

Being raised in the Midwest, Devin Polar has always looked to the west coast in Hollywood as his prime destination. From a very young age, he has had a deep passion for the art of acting. He had found early on that he had a great liking to entertaining others. In elementary school, he would create comics and distribute them throughout his class, some with profane material, often stoking the ire of his teachers. He would also write and perform many SNL-style comedy sketches. Despite his gift for performing, he did not entertain the possibility of a career until he went to college. While studying Theater Arts at Edgewood College in Madison, he continued to master his craft and, in addition, discovered his love for stand-up comedy. "I had so much crap going around in my head, it would drive me crazy, so I'd write it down; at some point it became apparent that I should be doing something with all of this so that's when I considered doing it [stand-up] it was a way for me to sort of dispose of all these things I wanted to say". He began performing at open mics and quickly distinguished himself among other comics for his unique, dark surreal brand of humor, earning him the moniker "Dirty Dev". "I guess people were surprised by the amount of vulgarity that could come from the mouth of someone so young" he said. While doing stand-up, he felt he wanted to focus more on screenwriting and began pouring over hundreds of screenplays to educate himself. Soon after, he started writing scripts and collaborating with friends. He has written several scripts based off his life events and experiences that he plans on making into a series someday. Since then, Devin has appeared in several commercials and is set to appear as Jordan in the 2018 horror film Gags.
