Betina Korbes Schmidt
Betina Korbes Schmidt (Novo Hamburgo) is a former Brazilian indoor volleyball player who was in the position of Ponta e Levantadora, with a range mark of 300 cm in the attack and 295 cm in the block, serving the Brazilian National Team the gold medal in the 2004 South American Junior and Junior Championship in Ecuador and also in the 2005 World Junior and Children's Championship in Macau in the junior category earned gold in the 2006 South American Youth Championship in Venezuela and the 2007 World Youth Championship in Thailand . In clubs she won the silver medal at the extinct 2008 International Salonpas Cup Tournament. For the Brazilian National Team she won the runner-up at the 2007 Pan American Cup in Mexico. Currently she is dedicated to modeling.
Daughter of Stela and volleyball coach Jorge Schmidt, she was three-time champion of the Brazilian Super League, and since the age of 13 years she was practicing volleyball. In 2001 she joined the Gymnastics / Novo Hamburgo base categories, remaining until 2005, during which time she was trained by former volleyball player Heloísa Roese.
In 2004, coach Luizomar de Moura was invited to compete for the South American Junior and Children's Championship in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the occasion of the gold medal.
The following year, Luizomar de Moura was again summoned by the coach to compete for the World Junior and Children's Championships in Macau, wearing the # 8 shirt as the captain of the team in this edition and contributed to the gold medal of the 1997 edition of Brazil did not reach and was the fourth placed among the best in the survey.
