Stephanie Faracy

Stephanie Faracy is a distinguished American actress born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Indiana, OH and Illinois. Her rigorous dramatic training earned her a BA in English and Drama at Illinois Wesleyan University and the Yale School of Drama. Her film credits include the Warren Beatty classic, Heaven Can Wait (1978), The Great Outdoors (1988) and the cult favorite Hocus Pocus (1993). On television she’s been a steady presence in both guest stars and regular roles. In 2024 she began portraying Lynn (Kristen Bell's mother) on the Netflix hit comedy-drama "Nobody Wants This" and will be seen in Amazon Prime’s upcoming crime-thriller series "Scarpetta" starring Nicole Kidman where she plays the reoccurring role of Maggie. She received an L.A. Ovation Award for her work onstage in Two Rooms and appeared in the critically praised Los Angeles revival of Gemini. She holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica and works with the Freedom to Choose project, volunteering to council women who are incarcerated in California prisons. In her free time Stephanie loves to golf.
