Did you know

Edit
  • Trivia
Her real name was Berneice Edna Hansell and she was the daughter of an English-born jeweller who fell on hard times during the Great Depression and ended up as an elevator operator. She worked in the film industry primarily as a seamstress/dressmaker, doubling up as a voice actress whenever required. Her high-pitched tones sounded peculiarly as if they were emanating from a child -- rather than a woman well into her thirties. For Disney, she provided the squeak for Mickey Mouse. For Warner Brothers, she voiced Kitty the Kitten. Her career was effectively over by the mid-40's.
