German Kachin is a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Was born in the city of Kazan. In 1955-1956 Kachin worked as an actor in the Kazan Drama Theater. In 1961 he graduated from VGIK, course of Olga Pyzhova. From 1961 to 1993 he worked in the Theater Studio of the film actor. Kachin began his career with memorable character roles, but gradually switched to episodes. Then, in view of the difficult financial situation, in order to provide for his family, he began to agree to any episodes and passing roles, to engage in dubbing.

In 1990, German Kachin played the only major role in his career - the minister of the nursery Stepan in the film Zhivodyor (1990).
