Edit
  • Trivia
Rober died of injuries he suffered when he accidentally drove his car off a 75-foot embankment. He had a female passenger who at least initially survived the crash. In a movie released two years before his death, The File on Thelma Jordon (1949), his character was killed in a similar accident, although in that case the character played by Barbara Stanwyck, who was a passenger in the car, caused the crash and died from her injuries.
