Satish Ravilal Shah (June 25, 1951 - October 25, 2025), born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, was one of India's most beloved and versatile actors, known for his impeccable comic timing, warmth, and effortless ability to connect with audiences. Over a glorious career spanning more than five decades, he became a household name through his remarkable work in both films and television. He began his journey in the early 1970s and went on to deliver memorable performances in iconic films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Main Hoon Na (2004), and numerous other Hindi films that showcased his versatility as a performer. However, it was his role as Indravadan "Indu" Sarabhai in the cult classic sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai that made him an enduring figure in Indian pop culture, admired for his spontaneous humor and natural charm. Beyond his professional success, Satish Shah was known in the industry for his humility, warmth, and genuine love for his craft. Sadly, the veteran actor passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mumbai, at the age of 74, due to complications arising from kidney failure.
