Frank Stewart in Psychos in Love (1987)
Frank's first appearance was on The Bozo Show in Hollywood on KTLA in 1960 and he has been clowning around ever since. He spent his college summers cutting his teeth at the Guthsville Playhouse in Allentown, Pennsylvania and continued acting on the New York stage after he arrived there in 1980.

He has appeared in a variety of original musical theater works written by Bill Wheeler and Michael Calderwood at the Wings Theater in Greenwich Village and gained critical acclaim under Rich Rubin's direction for his work in the 25th Anniversary production of Robert Patrick's The Haunted Host on Theater Row.

During this time, he began working in film as both an actor and a crew member (make-up and hair design), making his debut in the cult classic Psychos in Love and became a charter member of the Generic Film Stock Company. He is proud to say that several of his roles were written especially for him and his favorite experience was one particularly active summer when he filmed during the day and appeared onstage at night. He went on to make a string of B movies in which he played comic leads or side kicks. Special thanks to Gorman Bechard, Carmine Capobianco, Chuck Vincent, Chip Lambert, Norman Rene' and Craig Lucas.

As part of his quest to grow as an artist, in multi-media, represented by Chen Sam, he excelled creating make-up and hair for editorial, runway, TV, commercials, theatre, private clients and photographers. He has collaborated with Bob Mackie, Edith Head, Rosalyn Carter, Mary Wilson, Michelle Paradise, John Miller, Mark Holmes, Egon von Furstenberg, Anita Morris, Tony Chase, HBO, New York Times Magazine, Playbill, Crest, Pillsbury, Maria Burton, Ina Balin, Baby Jane Dexter, Quinn Lemley, Phyllis Hyman, Mercedes Ellington, Albert Nipon, Lainie Kazan, Pat Collins, Michael Douglas, Linda Blair, Troy Donahue, Marcus Leatherdale, David Langley, Jacques Silverstein, Roland Harrison, David LaChapelle and Timothy John. He has also worked with directors Joel Schumacher, Hugo Cassirer, Steve Oakes and Richard Shenkman.

Frank has also appeared on the cabaret circuit in New York and is remembered for his appearances at Don't Tell Mama in NYC singing everything from Irving Berlin to Kurt Weill to George Gershwin to Rogers and Hammerstein. Many thanks to Holly Bloomingdale and Sidney Meyer.

    • Trivia
Allentown, PA: After returning home to PA, Frank immersed himself in family responsibilities and activities. He has taken advantage of the numerous opportunities available to him to revisit the field where his working career began - retail, and has spent time adjusting to the changes there as well as reconnecting with old friends. Music and art continue to be a stimulating force in his quest to discover more about the world around him. One project on the horizon, in it's initial stages, is Psycho's in Love II, which, when realized, may become an outstanding vehicle to support his return to the business.
