Sahil Bhardwaj is an Indian Filmmaker, Screenwriter and Actor known for his short films like Forsake (2018), Dazed (2018), That Time of the Month (2016) and documentary The Facebook Generation (2012) among many others.
He worked as a child actor in 2004 television film 'Chal' Directed by Amitabh Srivastava which aired on Doordarshan. While doing theatre during his high school years, he ventured into cinema by making short films. His films received recognition at various student and independent film festivals.
An Alumnus of Hansraj College, Delhi University, he pursued his Master's Degree in Film Studies from Ambedkar University Delhi. As an Assistant Director, Bhardwaj has worked on the supernatural fantasy TV Show Chandrakanta - Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha (2017) which aired on Colors TV and an Indo-Iranian feature film Irani Chai (2024) Directed by Manoj Srivastava. He was also a Production Assistant in the Spanish survival thriller film Valley of Shadows (2024) Directed by Salvador Calvo.
Apart from filmmaking, Bhardwaj is also a qualified Film Programmer and has programmed films for film festivals in Diorama International Film Festival and Market and the International Film Festival of India.
He served in the jury of young curators at the UK Asian Film Festival as part of Young Curators Lab that chooses the winner of Curators Choice Award and learned Film Programming from Film and Television Institute of India under eminent Film Programmer/Curator Meenakshi Shedde.
